Nollywood actor Olatayo Amokade, popularly known as Ijebu, has publicly tendered an apology to everyone he may have offended β both within the movie industry and beyond.
His emotional message comes at a time when the Yoruba entertainment industry is mourning the loss of veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.
Rather than pointing fingers or revisiting old disagreements, Ijebu chose to speak about forgiveness, peace and the uncertainty of life.
He appealed to anyone he may have hurt or offended to forgive him, while also making it clear that he has forgiven those who may have offended him.
There is no indication that the apology was directed at any particular individual. Instead, it appears to be a personal reflection on how quickly life can change β and how important it is to settle differences while we still have the opportunity.
Sometimes, it takes the loss of someone to remind us that tomorrow is never promised.
If you have someone you are angry with today, would you rather make peace now or wait until it is too late? π
What do you think about Ijebuβs decision to publicly seek forgiveness?
