Spirituality does not mean laziness.

Yes, the apostles fellowshipped together every day. Yes, they shared what they had with one another. But they also had something doing.

Peter was a fisherman. Paul was a tentmaker. Their spirituality did not cancel their responsibility.

Sadly, some people today feel too “spiritual” to work. Even at their place of employment, all they seem to do is answer greetings with “God bless you,” while assigning the actual work to their junior colleagues. 😂

But prayer is not a substitute for diligence.

The Bible says, “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.” Ecclesiastes 9:10

God is not glorified by our laziness simply because we attach “Jesus” to it.

Your work is also a platform for your character, integrity, discipline and witness. You can be deeply spiritual and still be the most responsible person in the room.

Spirituality should make you more diligent, not less.

Pray like it depends on God.
Work like you are accountable to God.
Serve people like you are serving Christ.

Repentance is not something you can promise to accomplish by your own willpower. The flesh is weak, and the enemy will always exploit our weaknesses.

As a believer, if there is a habit you genuinely want to stop, the first step is to admit, “Lord, I cannot do this by myself.”

Sometimes, our greatest breakthrough begins when we stop trusting in our ability to change and start depending on God's grace to transform us.

Paul said, “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing.” Romans 7:18

This doesn't mean we become passive and refuse to fight. It means we fight from a place of dependence on the Holy Spirit, not confidence in our flesh.

Pray about that habit. Be honest with God. Stop hiding behind “I can handle it.” Come to the foot of the Cross, because the yolk of sin was broken there and ask the Holy Spirit for strength, discipline, and the grace to walk away when temptation comes.

You cannot defeat the flesh by feeding the flesh and hoping your willpower will save you.

“Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16

The question is not only, “How badly do I want to change?”
It is also, “How deeply am I willing to depend on the One who can change me?”

Grace doesn't excuse our struggles; grace empowers us to overcome them. 🙏🏽

When the Bible says, “Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, for what his hands have done shall be done to him.” Isaiah 3:11 (RSV), but we look around and see the wicked flourishing, prospering, and seemingly escaping consequences. We can feel sad, confused, and even disappointed.

But here is the lesson, never mistake God’s patience for God’s approval.

Sometimes, what looks like flourishing is only a season. What looks like escape is only delayed judgment.

The Psalmist once struggled with the same thing:

“For I was envious of the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.” Psalm 73:3

He almost lost his peace because of what he was seeing until he entered the presence of God and gained a different perspective. This should be us too, we should let the Holy Spirit always see a different perspective.

God sees what you can not see.
God knows what you do not know.
And God’s silence is not His absence.

“Do not fret because of evildoers… for they will soon fade like the grass.” Psalm 37:1-2

So, don't measure God’s justice by someone's current situation.

Their chapter may look beautiful, but God is still the Author of the whole story.

Keep your heart clean, keep trusting, keep looking unto Jesus, and keep doing what Jesus tells you is right.

Because sometimes the greatest test of faith is not suffering while doing right, it is watching someone do wrong and appear to be winning.

And still choosing to trust God.

What you see is temporary. What God has spoken is eternal. 🙏🏽

I recently heard of some Christians that when they meet each other, they speak in tongues to greet each other 🤣🤣. They have spiritual terms they communicate with, a particular way they dress and walk. In fact, if you're not blending with them, you are not growing. 😭😂

I think we can call them fanatic Christians. What we thank God for is that they don't kill to expand the kingdom of Christ. Hallelujah somebody! 🤣😅

But seriously, Christianity is not a costume, accent, vocabulary or walking style. 😂 You can look extremely spiritual and still have an unrenewed heart.

Jesus didn't say, “By their dressing, or the way they talk and walk, you shall know them.” He said, “By their fruits you shall know them.” Matthew 7:16

The real evidence of growth is not how loudly you say “Hallelujah!” but how you behave when someone annoys you. 😂
It's not how many spiritual words you know, but how much love, patience, humility and self-control you display.

Because imagine speaking tongues for 30 minutes and then using the remaining 10 minutes to verbally crucify your fellow believer. 😭🤣

Spiritual maturity is not looking more religious; it is becoming more like Christ.

May we not become experts at looking spiritual while forgetting to actually walk with Jesus. ❤️

REST!!! 🥺❤️

You cannot do this life alone. You need help.

And the help I’m talking about is not from people who will listen to your story, make you feel heard, act concerned, and then turn your pain into a discussion behind your back.

People can love you and still fail you.
People can mean well and still disappoint you.

But Jesus? He is different.

He doesn’t get tired of hearing you. He doesn’t expose your weakness to mock you. He doesn’t abandon you when you become too much to handle.

He says, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

Sometimes, what you need is not another person to explain your pain to.
You need to fall at the feet of Jesus and rest.

He is the Friend who stays.
The Helper who never leaves.
The One who sticks closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24)

So, beloved, REST.
You don't have to carry everything by yourself.

Jesus is still there. And He is enough. ❤️

I was passing by a very busy road one day when I saw a man under the hot sun, passionately sharing tracts.

I walked towards him, collected one, and encouraged him. I was genuinely excited to see someone spreading the gospel with passion.

But unusually, I felt prompted to read the tract, which I normally wouldn't, because I assume it contains a salvation message.

I was disappointed.

The entire message was about the miracles performed by the pastor of the church that produced the tract. And it ended by inviting people to come and “experience miracles.”

But where is Jesus? 😢

This really taught me something: if genuine believers refuse to do what God has called us to do, people will still do it, but they may do it wrongly.

The gospel is not about advertising a man, a church, or miracles.

It is about Christ.

Paul said, “For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 4:5

Miracles can attract people, but only Jesus can save them.

Let us not leave the work of spreading the true gospel to people who will replace Christ with themselves.

Do your part. Preach Jesus. Point people to Him. Let Him receive the glory. ❤️‍🔥

Satan rejoices where there is division, in fact, he brings his chair and sits there to exhibit evil.

Where there is division, love becomes difficult, there is hatred, anger, bitterness, peace disappears, joy becomes a pretence, and people begin to hurt one another while still claiming everything is fine.

Look at the Triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, perfectly united in purpose and fellowship. God is not the author of confusion.

The enemy understands something we often forget, a divided house is easier to destroy.

That is why Jesus prayed, “that they all may be one” (John 17:21).

Unity doesn't mean we will always agree. It means we choose love over pride, forgiveness over bitterness, and reconciliation over winning arguments.

Before you fight to prove that you are right, ask yourself, “Am I giving the devil a seat at the table?”

“Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:3

May God help us become people who build bridges, not walls. ❤️

Division gives the enemy room. Unity gives love room to breathe.

Passing by some churches this morning, I felt really concerned.

So, after all the prayers some churches organised throughout the week including friday night vigil against their enemies, they will still not rest from those same prayer points on Sundays. 😢

Growing up, I’ve always known Sunday services to be majorly about Sunday School, worship, the Word, and sound biblical teaching. But omo, the rate at which some pastors now do away with these on Sundays is saddening. Fixing a day for Bible study will not even cross their minds.😭

Some members don't even have a personal encounter with the Jesus they are praying to. They know how to bind demons, but they don't know how to walk with Christ.

We sometimes forget that the greatest enemy of a believer is not always the person fighting them, it can be a life that has never truly surrendered to Christ.

Jesus didn't say, “Make them successful in fighting their enemies.” He said, “Make disciples of all nations.” Matthew 28:19

The church is not merely a prayer centre where we come every Sunday to fight enemies. It is a place where Christ is revealed, lives are transformed, and believers are taught how to live like Him.

We need more than powerful prayer points.

We need Christ.
We need the Word.
We need sound doctrine.
We need discipleship.

Because what is the use of winning battles outside when we are losing the battle for our souls?

May our churches not become places where people only learn how to receive from God, but places where people genuinely know God. ❤️‍🔥

“And this is eternal life, that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” John 17:3
