Kwara APC Chieftain, Lawal Olanrewaju David Host Interfaith Prayers for Candidates Ahead of 2027 Polls

All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and aspirant for the Omupo State Constituency, Hon. Lawal Olanrewaju David (LOD), on Monday hosted an interfaith special prayer session and educational support program to seek divine backing for party leaders and candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The spiritual gathering and empowerment initiative, held at Igbomina House in Ganmo, Ifelodun Local Government Area, brought together party leaders, traditional stakeholders, religious clerics, and community members.
The gathering featured separate interfaith prayer sessions led by Reverend Dr. Matthew Onaolapo Olawale representing the Christian faith and the Chief Imam of Igbaja, Sheikh Yunus Yakub Akorede, on behalf of the Muslim community.
The clerics offered prayers for sustained peace, security across Kwara State, and electoral success for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kwara State Governor Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and all APC candidates in the 2027 polls.
Delivering the welcome remarks, the APC Chairman for Ifelodun Local Government, Hon. Surajudeen Babatunde Bola, commended the initiative as timely and pivotal for maintaining party cohesion, urging members to remain steadfast in their mobilization efforts.
Speaking at the event, Kwara APC Deputy Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Samari, commended Hon. Lawal Olanrewaju David for demonstrating exemplary party sportsmanship and loyalty despite not securing the party’s ticket in the previous cycle.
He noted that such selflessness underscores the unity and strength of the APC family.
In his remarks, the APC candidate for Offa/Oyun/Ifelodun Federal Constituency, Dr. Rafiu Ajakaye, lauded the host for his dedication to grassroots development, urging party faithful across the federal constituency to unite behind all progressive flagbearers.
In his remarks, Hon. Lawal Olanrewaju David, who hosted the event expressed appreciation to party leadership and constituents for their turnout, reaffirming his unalloyed loyalty to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
Olanrewaju pledged to deploy his resources to secure a total victory for the party in 2027.
The event, which was also attended by the wife of the Kwara State House of Assembly Speaker, Hajia Sa'adat Yakubu Danladi, Traditional Leaders and several party stalwarts featured the distribution of free educational materials to students across the constituency, presented by the Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government Area, Hadji Femi Yusuf.
