History has been made in Nigeria’s education sector 📚
Alhamdulillah !
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has officially approved the establishment of Tazkiyah University, the first and only female university in the country.
With its take-off site in Zaria, Kaduna State, the renowned Sufi Sheikh Professor Ibrahim Maqari, Chief Imam of the National Mosque, Abuja, who serves as its proprietor. This milestone marks a new dawn for women’s education, empowerment, and excellence in Nigeria.
It is envisioned as a university exclusively for women, potentially even staffed entirely by female lecturers—an unprecedented model in Nigeria’s higher education system.
The esteemed scholar announced this on his page, expressing his gratitude to God. Furthermore, Professor Maqari stated that all the profits generated by this institution will be placed in a fund to support orphans indefinitely
Tazkiya university is among the nine new private Universities the Federal Government Approved.
The Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, announced that the newly approved institutions are : Tazkiyah University, Kaduna State; Leadership University, Abuja; Jimoh Babalola University, Kwara State; Bridget University, Mbaise, Imo State; Greenland University, Jalingo, Taraba State; JEFAP University, Niger State; Azione Verde University, Imo State; Unique Open University, Lagos State; and American Open University, Ogun State.
Although the university’s permanent site is proposed in Kaduna State, initial operations would begin in Zaria, before moving fully to Kaduna.

He spoke a minimum of five languages and was a exemplary Son, Father, Brother and Friend. He was the inheritor of pristine knowledge and destined to spread the over-flowing blessings contained in what is known of as the era of "the Flood" Faydatul Tijani made manifest by his illustrious Grandfather Shaykh Ibrahim Niasse in Sufic history. He is the son of Sidi Ali Cissé and Fatima Zahra Niasse; and grandson of Ibrahim Niass, also spelled "Niasse" (died 1975), who was a Shaykh of the Tijaniyyah Sufi order and head of the largest Muslim community in twentieth-century West Africa and initiator of the largest branch of the Tijaniyyah Sufi order. Shaykh Hassan himself became one of the preeminent leaders of Tijaniyyah, leading millions of followers in more than 40 countries and unifying diverse cultures under the banner of Islam. His opus was enlightenment on the North American continent and to the African American Community. The Diwaani Recitation on Thursday, 7th August was a gathering of spiritual joy, love for the Prophet ﷺ, and devotion to the legacy of Sheikh Ahmad Tijani (RA). Together at Madinatul Faidah, hearts united in dhikr and prayer, embodying the words:

"Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest" (Qur’an 13:28).

With gratitude, we thank every reciter, guest, organizer, and attendee for making the night exceptional. May Allah reward you all abundantly, accept your efforts, and continue to shower mercy and blessings on our community.
