Packing 20 different ingredients into your baby’s pap will not still make your baby gain weight until you do it right
Besties ….
I know the intention is good ooo honestly
You want to give your baby the best
You want the baby to grow well
You want every spoon to count
But sometimes in trying to make baby food more nutritious we end up creating a mixture that needs more attention than we realise
Millet
Guinea corn
Rice
Soybeans
Tiger nuts
Coconut
Dates
Banana
Groundnuts
Egg
Crayfish
Different fruits
Different grains
Everything enters one pap
But let us pause and ask our selves
What happens to that mixture after you prepare it
This is the part I want mothers to start thinking about
How can you add ripe banana into fermented pap and leave the mixture sitting in water for hours or even days
How can fresh coconut tiger nuts dates egg crayfish and different fruits all enter one wet mixture and you expect them to have the same storage life as your dry grains
They do not
Some ingredients are much more perishable than others
And once you start combining fresh and wet ingredients together you have to think seriously about hygiene temperature storage time and food safety
The fact that every ingredient is nutritious on its own does not mean putting everything together makes the final food better
That is where we need to be careful
Your baby does not need the whole market inside one bowl of pap
A good baby meal is not measured by how many ingredients you can mention
It is about choosing appropriate foods
Preparing them properly
Getting the texture right
Offering a balanced diet
And most importantly keeping the food safe
If you want to add fruits to your baby’s pap add them appropriately and use them safely
If you want to use coconut or tiger nuts prepare them properly
If you want to give egg or crayfish introduce them in an age appropriate way and handle them safely
You do not have to put everything inside one mixture that you intend to store for days
Please stop chasing the idea that the more ingredients you put inside baby pap the more your baby will grow
Sometimes simplicity is better
Sometimes one well prepared meal is more sensible than a complicated mixture containing twenty different ingredients with completely different storage characteristics
Bestie
Your baby needs nourishment
Not a competition of ingredients
Feed your baby intentionally
Prepare with care
Store food safely
And pay attention to your baby’s actual growth and development
More ingredients does not automatically mean better feeding
This two combo will add your baby healhty weight when you complement it well with baby milk or other good products or may be our dates and groundnut powder
