سئل الشيخ العلامة: ربيع بن هادي المدخلي حفظه الله :
هل الشيخ الألباني هو رأس أهل الحديث في هذا العصر ؟

جواب العلامة ربيع بن هادي عمير المدخلي حفظه الله :
و الله هذا يُسلِّم به الشيخ ابن باز و ابن عثيمين و العلماء الذين عاشروه سألوهم بهذا أنه في الحديث لا يُلحق ، لا يلحق أبداً ، بل من قرون ما أحد وصل إلى ما وصل إليه الشيخ الألباني بل أنا أرى في الإطِّلاع أنه ما لحقه لا ابن تيمية و لا ابن حجر في الاطلاع على الكتب ، الحفظ يحفظون أكثر منه ، لكن الاطلاع و البحث و التشمير عن ساعد الجد في البحث لا نظير له هذا الرجل.
و قدَّم مكتبة للإسلام تعجزالدول و مؤسساتها عن تقديم هذا القدر و كل من يكتب في الحديث الآن عالة على هذاالرجل.
و ظلم هذا الرجل و ما عرف حقه العرب ، رجلٌ ينقله الله من قلب أوروبا و يحطه في المكتبة الظاهرية أحسن مكتبة في الشرق و يعكف فيها ستين سنة ويقدِّم هذه الجهود العظيمة ، ماذا لقي منَّا ؟
مع الأسف لا يعرف الفضل لأهله إلا ذووه أما العلماء فعرفوا له بالفضل و اعترفوا له به ابن باز ابن عثيمين وغيرهم من علماء الإسلام ، و علماء الهند و الباكستان و المغرب العربي و غيرها عرفوامنزلة هذا الرجل و ماذا قدَّم للأمة في العقيدة و المنهج و في خدمة سنة رسول الله عليه الصلاة و السلام ، فرحمه الله و جزاه عن دين الله و سنة نبيه عليه الصلاة والسلام خير ما جاز العاملين و لمن خدموا سنة رسول الله و دينه .نعم.
