📰 Defamation: Court Adjourns Case Involving Nupeko TV-Lafiagi Publisher to October 21
• Ruling on bail application postponed till tomorrow

The defamation case involving Tauheed Mohammed, CEO and Publisher of Nupeko TV-Lafiagi, was heard today but adjourned after preliminary proceedings.

During the session, the defense counsel presented a bail application on behalf of the defendant, which the complainant’s counsel opposed—citing a procedural error. Following this, the presiding magistrate deferred the ruling on the bail request to Tuesday, October 21, 2025.

Recall that the publisher was remanded at the Oke-Kura Correctional Facility on October 15, 2025, pending trial in a case filed by the Kwara State Commissioner for Water Resources over an allegedly defamatory publication. The matter has since drawn significant public attention across Kwara State.

The court’s ruling on the bail application is expected tomorrow, October 21, 2025.

Femi Yusuf is an accidental leader for Ifelodun LG – Rev. COS Fawenu

Rev. COS Fawenu has criticized the leadership of Ifelodun Local Government Chairman, Hon. Femi Yusuf, over his handling of recent security threats. Speaking on Sobi FM, Rev. Fawenu revealed that the vigilantes murdered in Oke Ode had earlier sought the chairman’s intervention but were ignored.
