The rally, organized by Kwara North Stakeholders, is in strong backing of the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the call for Kwara North to produce the next Governor of Kwara State.

A distinguished cross-section of Kwara North traditional rulers, including the Emir of Lafiagi, Emir of Tsonga, Emir of Okuta, Emir of Ilesha-Baruba, Emir of Gwanara, Etsu Tsaragi, Etsu Patigi, and the Emir of Kaiama, were present at the Mega Rally.

The event took place at the Metropolitan Square, Asa Dam, Ilorin, the state capital and attracted massive participation.

MFA Facilitates Laboratory Equipment To Alma Mater

In a move aimed at strengthening science education and improving practical learning for students, Mohammed Funsho Abdullahi (MFA) has successfully facilitated the donation of modern laboratory equipment to his alma mater, Ilorin Comprehensive High School (ICOHS).

This intervention follows a recent visit by MFA to the school during the holidays, where he reaffirmed his commitment to giving back and supporting the institution that contributed to his formative years.

The equipment, covering multiple laboratory needs, has been delivered through the school’s Principal.

In a message of appreciation, the school’s Coordinator, Ango Surajudeen, expressed profound gratitude for MFA’s continued connection and support. He noted that the gesture has inspired both the Board of Governors and staff, while reinforcing confidence in alumni-driven development initiatives.

Confirming the development in the ICOHS Alumni platform, MFA stated that the pledged support has fully materialised, with all laboratory equipment delivered, marking a significant step towards restoring functional lab facilities within the school.

This initiative reflects MFA’s sustained commitment to impactful, behind-the-scenes interventions that directly improve educational outcomes, demonstrating that meaningful development is best measured not by publicity, but by tangible results that benefit communities.

Group Urges BOMA'S 2027 Return, Cites Outstanding First Term Performance

The Alliance for Good Governance has urged Hon. Barr. Oba Magaji AbdulKadir - BOMA, the lawmaker representing Ilorin Central (Magaji Ngari) Constituency and Kwara State House Leader, to return as their representative at the State Assembly in the 2027 general election.

In a statement, the group's leader, Mallam Mohammad Baba, commended Barr. Oba for his remarkable achievements, including the provision of boreholes in various communities across the five wards of Ilorin Central Constituency, providing access to clean water for residents.

The group secretary, Mr. Ibrahim Musa, highlighted the impact of Hon. Oba's empowerment initiatives, including the distribution of motorcycles, freezers, grinding machines, sewing machines, and other items to support commerce. Cash support was also given to businesses and artisans.

Residents, including Hajia Ramat Abdulganiyu Iya Laje from Badari Ward, praised Barr. Oba's initiatives, particularly the weekly cash support for widows and aged people, and the establishment of weekly free medical services across the constituency.
