Behind The Scenes: What You Need To Know About The Alleged Kidnapping Of

You must read this in detail and read to the last line. There have been a lot of reactions since Okwulora came to social media to say that he was kidnapped at Ụmụaka. I would not like to dwell on fairy tales, so I have decided to conduct my own personal investigation, and what I found out will shock all of you.

Was Okwulora accosted by some boys? Yes. Was Okwulora Kidnapped? No. Nobody kidnapped Okwulora, but he was accosted by boys in that area. Did they request ransom from Okwulora? No. But they were happy seeing Okwulora, according to the information I got, and this information is legit. Who doesn't know Okwulora? They saw him and they recognised him. Just like people see policemen and do something for them, Okwulora did the same for those boys. Okwulora did a 500,000 transfer for those boys. Okwulora was never taken to any POS point. He did the transfer there for the boys. The boys were so happy that they even escorted Okwulora to make sure he left safely.

But...

Okwulora went to Social Media to announce to the whole world that he was kidnapped. He said they took all his money using a POS. This is very unfortunate. He went further to tell the world not to ever travel to Ụmụaka. This is not good at all. Okwulora not only offended Ụmụaka people, but he also offended Imo people and ndị Igbo at large. Why say you were kidnapped, when such did not happen? Do you know the implications of such lies?

I hope this lie from Okwulora won't cost innocent people their lives, especially in Ụmụaka.

Dearest Okwulora,

You have helped lots of people and you have saved lots of lives. And we are grateful for all you have done. But this lie you told is loud. And it will cost Ụmụaka people a lot. You know the transfer you did will be recorded in your account details. And should you make it public, for sure it will not be POS and it won't be more or less than 500,000.

You need to come out and resay what you said... Call it damage control, we do not care.

I am saying this because we from Ụmụaka are not happy and we know how to use the court to force you to make the account details of the money you said they took from you public. But for now, we would love it if you could do the needful now.

We begin by commending Okwuluora for his consistent support and generosity towards Umuaka people. His philanthropic work, especially helping those battling kidney disease, is deeply appreciated by many families. He has indeed touched lives.

But even great men must be open to correction when needed.

📍 Let’s Not Forget:
In 2024, the son of Honourable Victor Ojinnaka, Oji Egbe Aza Oku 1 of Obeakpu Umuaka, in Njaba Local Government Area, Imo State, was brutally murdered in Enugu. Despite the pain and shock, no one went online to curse Enugu or tell people to stop going there. We mourned with dignity and respect, understanding that one person's actions do not define a whole city.

Cursed the town of Umuaka

Told people to avoid the town entirely

Generalised Umuaka people as being dishonest or involved in crime

In a heartwarming display of selflessness, Okwuluora, the social critic and activist who was recently extorted on his to Umuaka, has declined an offer made by Honourable Obinna Orgazi to refund the money extorted from him during the ordeal.

During a live Facebook broadcast, Honourable Obinna Orgazi had offered to compensate Okwuluora for his losses, asking him to present whatever he lost so that the people of Umuaka could refund him. However, in a surprising turn of events, Okwuluora rejected the offer, instead requesting that the contributions be directed towards Chinecherem's treatment.

Facts about Okwuluora incident.

1. Okwuluora, from all indication was intercepted within the wider Umuaka by a group active in a place not far from Umuaka.

2. Okwuluora was apparently accosted by the group because of his vehicle type which was a Tacoma pick up truck full of four men asking random people questions for directions, according to Okwuluora himself, and news of the presence of suspicious men in town may have circulated quickly.

3. The place Okwuluora and his men were taken to after the ambush which he described as a camp is not in Umuaka.

4. There is no military checkpoint anywhere around Umuaka or even Njaba Local Government.

5. The expressway that Okwuluora mentioned appears to be Owerri-Onitsha road around Ukwuorji area, which is not in Umuaka.

6. Umuaka is not a ghost town and the deserted community that Okwuluora was describing appears to be Ezioha which is in MBAITOLU local government, Owerri Zone.

7. The group that took Okwuluora released him unharmed and returned all his belongings after establishing his mission. This suggests that they did not set out to kidnap him and his men but probably wanted to ascertain their identity and mission.

8. Umuaka has security issues like most towns in Nigeria but doesn't have a problem of kidnapping. In fact you're more likely to be kidnapped in Enugu than in Umuaka, according to every available statistics.

In response to recent social media allegations made by Chief Okwuora of Enugu State, who claimed he was kidnapped in Umuaka after visiting a sick boy in Ugbele Akah, Baristar Ifeoma Ihesie has issued a strongly worded public statement disputing the claim and defending the reputation of the Umuaka community.

Below is the full statement issued by Baristar Ifeoma Ihesie:

> Chief Okwuora of Enugu state, who alleged that he was kidnapped at Umuaka, after his visit to raise fund for a boy, who was suffering from kidney disease at Ugbele Akah. Well, I thank you for that acclaimed humanitarian support and assistance.
Let me frankly deposit here that from your narration, you were not kidnapped at Umuaka. You made us to understand that after your visit to the sick boy at Ugbele Akah, that on your way home, you turned to the right road that leads to onitsha/Owerri express way, whereby you met some police and army check points which were 2 minutes away from the area you were kidnapped.
It's on record that the nearest communities to onitsha/Owerri express way are Otura Ezioha and other communities within Ukworji. These communities are in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State and not in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State.
Umuele Amaozoano shares common boundary with Otura Mbaitoli LGA. Umuele Amaozoano is an autonomous community in Njaba LGA. Umuaka is an autonomous community in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State. Ugbele Akah is an autonomous community in Njaba LGA. Coming up on social media to claim that you were kidnapped at Umuaka where you saw hundreds and millions of guns, charms and juju is a fallacy and misleading, it's blackmailing to the whole of Umuaka community as well as detrimental to the community.
The traditional ruler of Umuaka is HRH Eze Ojinnaka while the traditional ruler of Ugbele is Eze Ukonu Akpaka of Ugbele. The traditional ruler of Umuele Amaozoano is HRH Eze Caesar Duruegbuso.
Umuaka community is located at the axis of Afor Umuaka (Umuaka Market) along Orlu/ Owerri road. Umuaka community does not share boundaries with Otura nor Ukworji where you experienced your ugly ordeal.
As for your allegation that your account was emptied by your kidnappers, as a social media influencer, it's presumptuous that you had not less than ten million naira in your account which was allegedly emptied from your account, it can be traceable through your bank. Your bank will be able to identify the account where your money was emptied into, it's no big deal.
The speed and the rate you started soliciting financial assistance from the public made nonsense of the whole story. If you were looking for a cheap way of soliciting fund, you shouldn't have involved Umuaka community in your story. Why would you ask the whole world not to honor any invitation to Umuaka and Njaba, are you not stupid to have uttered such defamatory advice.
Moreover, you didn't inform the public that you reported your encounter with your alleged kidnappers to any police station in Imo state neither did you report to the police and army at the said check points.
Let me clarify you that Njaba is comprises of many communities which Umuaka is one of it, coming out on social media to levy such fallacious allegations against Umuaka is subjecting and exposing the youths of that community to danger.
It would have been more civil for you to be specific in order to assistance law enforcement agencies to know the angle to channel their investigations and possible arrest, that is if you indeed made any report to Nigeria police force in Imo state.
It's worthy of note that there is Njaba police station located at Achara Akah, along Orlu/Owerri express way.
Enugu state where you hail from is well known for all sorts of criminal activities and ritual killings.
You stated that you were lying flat on the ground with your face down, how did you able to see people who were taking videos and pictures of you and your kidnappers.
When crimes are committed around neighboring communities of Umuaka, Umuaka people would be accused because Umuaka Community is located at the center of the Orlu/Owerri express road.

ENOUGH OF THIS NAME TARNISHING, UMUAKA COMMUNITY HAS SUFFERED AND TOLERATED ENOUGH OF THESE BAD NAME TAGGING.
