TELL ME THE STORY OF JESUS
We oftentimes place barriers on a selected few preventing them from hearing the words of the Lord. We focus so much on what a person did rather than carrying out what God has called us to do. We cry out and say Lord look at what this sinner has done to me. When we do this we become bitter and useless to God. We are living In fallen world where anyone we go to will give us what our itchy ears want to hear. Why should we go to pastors or friends when his words are right in front of you. He gives ud clear instructions on how to deal with bad behavior and how to forgive them when they repent. In addition, he tells us how to receive such a one and when it is the best time to welcome them back home. Samaritan people in Jesus day had barriers for example, the Samaritan women. If Jesus had not went down to the well she wouldn't have herd the good news. Hear me O Israel, hear me all of you understand what I'm saying.
Jhon 4:1-10 says, Now he had to go through Samaria. So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph. Jacobโs well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon. When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, โWill you give me a drink?โ (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.) The Samaritan woman said to him, โYou are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?โ (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.
Jesus answered her, โIf you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.โ
