MBAITOLI -IKEDURU AGOG
AS OGBUAGU MBAIKE HOLDS THANK YOU PARLEY, PRESENTS HIS MANIFESTO.
What was supposed to be just a *thank* *you* meeting on Monday June 1, 2026 by the Rt. Hon. UCHE OGBUAGU, the PDP candidate for Mbaitoli-Ikeduru federal Constituency in the forthcoming 2027 general elections with select Excos of the party turned around and shaped the political sphere of Mbaitoli- Ikeduru as it witnessed the presence of enthusiastic aborigenes of the area, who were desirous of aligning with the vision and mission which Ogbuagu stands for.
According to the sea of heads, who besieged Ogbuagu MBAIKE'S country home at Akabo, Ikeduru LGA of Imo State, they were deceived into joining other political divides by tricking them into submitting their NIN details with fake Federal jobs and Palliative distribution.
They said now that Ogbuagu is on the ballot, they are eager to stand by him as they are confident in his antecedents as he had delivered landmark and impactful projects while he held the baton at the state legislature, wherein he represented Ikeduru.
Rt. Hon. UCHE OGBUAGU, who received the men and women of goodwill in their large numbers, urged them to get registered, arm themselves with their PVCs and make an indelible statement with it 2027. He declared that posterity would not forget them and all those, who are at the forefront of rewriting the present quagmired and checkered political history of Mbaitoli- Ikeduru.
In his piece of advice to the people, Ogbuagu MBAIKE stated that, it was a misnomer, nightmare lack of growth and plan for anyone to be constantly used and dumped at every electoral year, without any meaningful effort by the system to help him or her out of poverty. Rather they have blatantly been refused to be absorbed into any known official designation thus forcing them to keep using their father's compound as their only known address, even as they are ageing.
He encouraged them not to allow anyone, who would still leave them unemployed, clueless and without any known address to continue using them.
Oke OSISI KUFERE MBA, berated the self-killing actions of a few every-year-young youths above 40, some of who after schooling without any employment are married bachelors, resorting to Village secretaries out of frustration, but still collect a morsel of bread to betray themselves by applauding their slave masters on social media all in a bid to buy trust from the same people, who have destroyed and severally rejected them and branded them persona non grata.
He charged them to rather engage their supposed acclaimed leaders, chat a new cause for their self- survival than dissipate energies dismembering themselves.
The Pride of Mbaike, without mincing words, blamed the people especially some youths for the rot in the system, urging them to rise to the occasion, read, search, enquire and throw questions at their representatives at all levels on critical issues that affect their areas.
He publicly asked if anyone in MBAIKE could readily quote what their representative in the National Assembly inputted in the Appropriation bills of 2023, 2024, 2025!
Expectedly, there was silence...
He said it's obvious that the people of MBAIKE federal constituency have been watching a "One Family Show! And the players feel they are not answerable to anyone of you.
According to him, every one, especially the people of MBAIKE federal constituency should know what was captured and approved in the appropriation bills since 2023, especially all the projects, their sites, specifications, costs and details of their handlers as well as programmes.
It is your inalienable right to know!!
Ogbuagu roared.
He declared that it is high time they studied the antecedents of whom they are following as judgement would be on them, if they fail to wake up from their slumber now.
Thereafter, Ogbuagu Mbaike, who is described as a political tsunami, painstakingly reeled out his social contract to the people which he intends to manifest at his clinching of the mantle at the 2027 National Assembly election.
He said he's aware that having set the pace in Manifesto presentation, others would now follow.
He warned copycats to avoid copy and paste Manifestos and advised those in office to state what they had done already, how, where and costs, so the people could go and verify.
Continuing, he said those coming newly should also state succinctly, what they had done in the private sectors as individuals because you can't learn the job on the job thus wasting our time.
He assured of repositioning the area, genuinely empowering the people with massive job creation. Also, he promised using his legislative excellence which he acquired at the Imo State House of Assembly to dialogue, lobby as well as bring the constituency to the front burner.
Ogbuagu Mbaike decried the very poor rural road network in the area, among other infrastructure decays and asked the people to keep faith as they would witness a barrage of monumental and impactful development once he assumes office.
Furthermore, on education, Ogbuagu declared that a genuine and transparent scholarship scheme would be instituted in order to meaningfully assist deserving Mbaitoli-Ikeduru aborigines all through their period of Studentship, not just buying cheap Jamb forms for social media brandishing.
Ogbuagu stated that he would involve his people in governance as they deserve to contribute and keep in know of his policies and programmes, which must be in tandem with the wishes and aspirations of the people. Oke OSISI KUFERE MBA called on the people to hold him by his words as probity, accountability and transparency beyond writing them on election materials would be the fulcrum of his representation.
The PDP candidate made it clear that, he would work in synergy with the relevant security agencies domiciled in his federal Constituency to ensure the safety of his people.
Earlier in his speech, the state Chairman of the PDP, Hon. Austine Nwachukwu described Ogbuagu as a man, who walks his talk and a person of means. He explained that the party and its leadership did not make a mistake in choosing Ogbuagu as their party flag bearer for the 2027 House of Representatives election for MbaIke federal constituency. He said Ogbuagu possesses all that is needed to scale through the election and make Mbaike shine again.
The event attracted the former deputy Governor of Imo State and the Imo East senatorial candidate of the party, Prince Eze Madumere, House of Assembly candidates for Ikeduru and mbaitoli, Owerri Zonal Chairman, LGA Chairmen and other stakeholders of the party from across the State.
