OGBUAGU MBAIKE JOINS GOV. ALEX OTTI, ABIA STATE GOVT IN CELEBRATING CHIEF ZEBRUDAYA AT 75
- ENCOMIUMS ROSE TO GREATER HEIGHTS AS A LIVING LEGEND WAS CELEBRATED
It was a gathering of creme de la Creme, galaxy of stars and high profiled personalities from all spheres of human endeavour at Banquet Hall, Government House, Umuahia, Abia State last night, Tuesday June 10,2025 as, Chief Chika Chukwunonso Okpala (Chief Zebrudaya Okoro Igwe Nwogbo, Alias 4:30) marked his 75th Birthday in Grand Style.
Speaking at the event, which held at the instance of Abia State Government, the State Governor Chief Dr. Alex Otti, x-rayed the invaluable contributions of CHIEF ZEBRUDAYA in the revolution of the Entertainment World. He explained that, such persons, who have added value to others through their skills and artistry, ought to be celebrated in their lifetime.
Governor Alex Otti, described the celebrant as a Living Legend and prayed God Almighty, to grant him longer life, so that his wealth of experience would be a shinning light to the younger generation of On-screen personalities.
For his part, the Celebrant, Chief Chika Okpala, appreciated God for His love, protection and wisdom which has continued to see him through in his chosen career and in old age.
He assured all and Sundry that he would always do what it takes to add more knowledge to the society, especially the Entertainment and Media industry.
Rt. Hon. Uche Ogbuagu who was among the Special Guests at the event recalled the invaluable experience he has garnered from the living legend as a forster son and close professional ally of Chief ZB.
Ogbuagu described Chief Zebrudaya as an integral part of him, as he has been supported and continued to do so in Media and Entertainment. He, explained that his relationship with the celebrant which has lasted for over three decades, has taken both of them across several countries of the world where they have entertained and imparted knowledge on people. Ogbuagu prayed for a more healthy life on Chief Chika Okpala.
The roll call of dignitaries who graced the event include but not limited to the Abia State Deputy Governor, members of the Expanded Excos of Abia State Government, Lawmakers, Captains of Industry, Local and Foreign Media Houses etc.
Among the major Highlights of the ceremony, where, unveiling of the book authored by the celebrant CHIEF ZEBRUDAYA: A JOURNEY ON STAGE, Reading of the Memoir of Chief Zebrudaya was by Mr. Alphonsus Okoroigwe, a Senior Staff of Voice of America.
There was also A minute silence observed in honor of the fallen members of New Masquerade Crew, Chief Mrs. Lizzy Evoeme (Ovuleria), Claude Eke (Chief Jegede Shokoya), Romanus Amuta (Natty), Christy Essien Igbokwe (Akpeno), Mrs. Veronica Njoku (Ramota), James Iroha (Gringory Akabuogu).
Prince Chiemela Iroha, the son of James Iroha and Pastor Davis Offor (Clarus), were members of the New Masquerade lineage that were present at the ceremony.
The Guests in the sprawling hall, were treated to melodious displays by Paulson Kalu, J-Martins, Government House Band among many notable musicians.
