Latest Update on Veteran Actor Taiwo Hassan “Ogogo” as Nollywood Stars Rally in Prayer
Veteran Yoruba actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, is currently facing a serious health challenge, with reports stating that he is battling stage-four cancer.
The actor’s daughters, Lima and Kira Taiwo, recently appealed for urgent medical assistance, calling on medical professionals, hospitals and well-wishers to help their father access appropriate treatment. Reports also indicated that the family’s immediate concern was finding medical expertise and treatment options rather than soliciting financial donations.
In a more recent development, reports on August 21, 2026, said prominent Nollywood actors and filmmakers gathered to pray for Ogogo’s recovery. Among those seen showing support were veteran actor Jide Kosoko, Lateef Adedimeji, Mr Latin and other members of the Yoruba film industry.
The development has generated widespread concern and prayers from fans, colleagues and Nigerians at home and abroad.
