✨ When You Feel Like You’re Losing It as a Mom… Read This ✨

Dear mama…

Have you ever had that moment where everything just spills over? 😔

You’ve repeated yourself… you’re tired… overwhelmed… and before you know it… you react in a way you didn’t plan to.

And afterwards?
💭 Guilt.
💭 Regret.
💭 “This is not the kind of mother I want to be…”

Here’s the truth you need to hear today:

You are not a bad mother.
You are an overwhelmed mother who needs support, structure, and guidance. 🤍

✨ Let’s talk about our children…

Sometimes we label them:
“slow”
“stubborn”
“not listening”

But many times, especially under age 5…

🤍 They are still developing
🤍 Their attention span is short
🤍 They need repetition
🤍 They learn best through play, not pressure

🌱 It’s not a “bad child” issue…
It’s a development + approach issue.

💜 And about those hard moments…

Yes… we correct our children.
But we also correct ourselves with gentleness.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is:

🤍 Call your child close
🤍 Hold them
🤍 Say: “Mummy was wrong. I’m sorry.”

This doesn’t reduce your authority…
✨ It builds trust
✨ It strengthens connection
✨ It heals hearts

Moving forward, try this instead:

✨ Give ONE instruction at a time
✨ Let your child repeat it back
✨ Keep learning short (5–10 minutes) increase gradually
✨ Remove distractions
✨ Turn teaching into play

💭 And if you feel like you’re “losing it”…

That is not failure.
That is a signal.

A signal that you need:
✔ Guidance
✔ Structure

Sometimes, it’s not that your child is “too much”…

Here are quiet signs you’re parenting from stress:

• You react quickly before thinking

• Small things trigger big emotions

• You feel guilty after correcting

This is not a discipline problem.

There was a season in my motherhood where one question kept repeating in my heart…

“Why is my child not listening?”
“Why is this behavior not changing?”

I tried everything I knew at the time.

I corrected more.
I explained more.
Sometimes… I even raised my voice.

But deep down, I knew something wasn’t really shifting.

Until one day… I paused.

And instead of looking outward,
I looked inward.

I asked myself a different question:

“What is Allah teaching me through this moment?”

That question… changed everything 🤍

Because I began to see what I was missing.

It wasn’t just about my child’s behavior.

It was about me.

My patience.
My tone.
My reactions.
My ability to stay grounded when everything felt overwhelming.

And slowly… as I started working on myself,
something beautiful began to happen.

The atmosphere in my home softened.
The tension reduced.
Connection started growing again 🌿

Motherhood is not just about raising children.

It is one of Allah’s most powerful ways
of refining you.

Your child will stretch you…
trigger you…
and sometimes reveal parts of you
that still need healing.

Not to break you…
but to grow you.

“Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves.” (Q13:11)

So before rushing to fix your child today…

Pause.

And ask yourself:
“What is this moment teaching me?”
