Ronnie Coleman was a full-time police officer when he started competing. Woke at 5AM, trained before his shift, trained again after.
His first sponsor gave him a free gym membership. That was it. No contract. No entourage. He went on to squat 800 lbs and deadlift 765 lbs on stage the night before competitions.
He won 8 consecutive Mr. Olympia titles.
The most in history, tied only by Lee Haney. His body paid the price. 13 surgeries on his spine. He walks with crutches now.
Asked if he regrets it, he said: "Not one bit." That's what total commitment looks like.
