BEWARE OF DOUBT
matt 14:24-32
INTRODUCTION:
In the Scriptures the only place Jesus rebuke his disciples is not when they don't understand a concept but when they doubt.
JESUS CONCERN FOR SINNERS
Jesus is more compassionate with sinners than with disciples who doubt.
He is compassionate to a sinner and says: go and see no more.
John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
But he says to a disciple why did you doubt?
Matt 14:31 "... O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?"
DOUBT IS CANCEROUS AND TOXIC
Whatever will make you doubt the word of God is dangerous to your spiritual health.
Doubting the Word of God is like taking for God a liar!
The bible says in Rom 3:4 "... let God be true, but every man a liar;..."
We cannot do anything against the word of God because the word of God is the truth, so if we doubt it we do so to our own peril.2 Cor 13:8
We are all called to hear, accept and believe God's word. That's the only way we can actually please Him. Heb 11:6
THE DANGER OF DOUBTING GOD'S WORD
Doubt is the opposite of faith. When we doubt,
The following occurs:
1. It brings fear, stagnation, and propensity to sink.
2. Doubt brings defeat to man. (Num 14:28)
3. Doubt hinders God's power to act. (Matt 14:31)
4. Doubt open doors to the enemies. (Num 13:31-32)
CONCLUSION;
To Doubt God is like taking him for a liar and we know God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? (Num 23:19)
God will certainly bring your miracle to pass. Just believe him and trust him absolutely, and it shall be well with you in Jesus name.
