Did you know the World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a new recommendation supporting the use of spatial emanators, introducing a new class of intervention for malaria vector control?

Also known as spatial repellents, these devices emit active ingredients into the air to kill mosquitoes, keep them out of treated spaces, and prevent them from finding and biting people at risk of malaria.

WHO has also prequalified the first two products in this category : Mosquito Shield and Guardian manufactured by SC Johnson & Son, Inc.

HOFUGE created awareness on the prevention and treatment of malaria parasite with the community members during the FGD meeting. Participants were more enlightened on how they can prevent malaria within their homes so that the money they can use to treat malaria parasite can be saved and channel to somewhere else.

HOFUGE continue to engage with the stakeholders in Gangpentom, Gang mata ward Bali LGA Taraba State on it's community led monitoring activities on ATM. This time around HOFUGE take it's advocacy visit to some critical stakeholders in the community to help resolve some of the issues identified in Gangpentom Primary Health Care .The stakeholders promised to do their best to address the issues brought before them by the organization.

The Global Fund has invested US$10.1 billion in programs to prevent and care for people with tuberculosis (as of 31 Oct 2024). These investments support countries in delivering cost-effective TB interventions, rolling out patient-friendly treatment regimens, and expanding screening and diagnostics. Investing in the fight against TB strengthens health and community systems, making them more resilient and inclusive.
