Enough of the silence. Enough of the blood.
The truth is known, the pain is real, and the people are tired.

Let the leaders rise!
Let the royal fathers speak!
Let the world take notice — history is watching!

No matter what comes, we will never bow.
We are defenders — born from struggle, shaped by courage, bound by love for our land.
We will protect our people as we always have.
Our spirit is stronger than fear.

Another dark cloud seems to be gathering — another episode of bloodshed, another attempt to rekindle the embers of genocide in our land. Once again, innocent lives tremble under the shadow of fear, and once again, the aggressors are not ghosts — they are known, seen, and named. Yet, silence reigns from the very places where voices should thunder.
Where are the governments?
Where are the leaders whose duty it is to protect every citizen, regardless of tribe, faith, or tongue? Where are those who swore an oath to defend the constitution and safeguard life and property? The cries of the people echo through the valleys and towns, but those in power seem deaf to the anguish of the helpless. Is governance only about power when the people are dying in silence?
Where are the local government elites?
Those who rose from this soil, who dine in comfort and sit in high places while their homeland burns — where are they now? Will they watch as the blood of their kinsmen waters the earth of their ancestors? The time for empty speeches and quiet diplomacy is over. Silence in the face of evil is complicity.
Where are the royal fathers?
Our traditional institutions, once the heartbeat of justice and communal peace, must not remain neutral in the face of oppression. The thrones of our fathers must not be reduced to ornaments while the people perish. The palace must speak truth to power, and the elders must rise as custodians of the land’s conscience.
The truth is bitter but clear: the attackers are known. The perpetrators are not spirits. Their identities are no secret. Yet, justice has been slow — too slow. How long will we continue to bury our own while pretending that “peace talks” and “committees” are enough?
Peace without justice is an illusion.
Security without accountability is a lie.
A people abandoned to their fate cannot remain silent forever.
Let the government act now — not when the land is soaked again with the blood of the innocent.

My blood boils, my heart bleeds...
Since 2018 we have carried scars of genocide,
Houses burned, lives shattered, millions lost.
Yet, government chose betrayal over justice.

Those who slaughtered us,
Those who drowned us in tears,
Were brought back, honored with positions,
While we — the ones who stood for elections —
Were left with ashes and memories.

On election day, they still attacked us,
And today they sit in power?
What a shame! What hypocrisy!

But know this...
The evil that men do never dies.
It follows them, like a shadow in the sun,
And Allah’s justice is heavier than man’s throne.

Allah ya isa.
We may be wounded,
But we are not broken.
And history will judge.

Retirement Saga
A shame to humanity…
A shame to your clan…
Shame, shame, shame!

To retire without a crown of deeds,
to bow out with empty hands,
is a disgrace wrapped in silence.

Some of the elites retired five years ago,
from different fields,
yet nothing to show up.
Their clans regret,
their communities lament,
for what is a leader without legacy?

No job creation for youth, chai!
The young roam hopeless,
dreams unwatered,
talents wasted in the dust of neglect.

Others leave footprints in the sands of time,
others retire with stars on their shoulders,
others are sung in songs of honour.

But you—
you walk away with nothing but echoes,
a name written on dust,
a legacy drowned in shadows.

Retirement without achievements, chai…
what a heavy disgrace!
What a warning to those still running the race.

Build while you can,
so that your ending will not taste of shame,
but of glory that never dies.

My dear brothers and sisters,

At this critical moment, when pain and fear seek to silence our voices, I speak to your strength, your courage, and your unshakable spirit.

What we face today is not just brutality — it is a test of our unity, our patience, and our resolve. But remember this: you are not weak, you are not forgotten, and you are not alone.

You come from a heritage of resilience. The blood of warriors flows through your veins. Do not let anger lead you astray. Let wisdom be your weapon, let discipline be your defense, and let unity be your strategy.

This injustice shall not last. Hard times never break a people who know who they are. The eyes of truth are watching, and the hearts of many beat with yours.

To the youths of Ugya: stand tall. Speak peace. Act with courage. And above all — stay united.

Agaba idu!
Your roar will be heard.

🛑 COMMUNITY ALERT: JUSTICE FOR UGYA! 🛑
📢 This is a cry from the heart of Ugya. A cry for justice. A cry for peace.
A soldier who was supposed to protect our community has turned into an agent of violence and oppression.
🔴 He beat our Youth Leader with a cutlass and a heavy 2x2 plank.
🔴 He brutally assaulted peaceful farmers—our brothers, our fathers, our people.
🔴 He has forcefully taken over farmlands, the only source of livelihood for many families.
🔴 He now walks with power, using his uniform not for peacekeeping—but to instill fear.
😡 We ask: What is our fault?
Is it a crime to farm on our ancestral land?
Is it wrong to speak up for our rights?
📣 We demand:
✅ Immediate withdrawal of the soldier from Ugya.
✅ Justice for all those he assaulted.
✅ Return of all seized farmlands.
✅ Protection for our youth and leaders.
✅ Accountability and discipline for this abuse of power.
✊🏽 Ugya is not afraid. Ugya is united.
We are a peaceful people—but we will not keep quiet while our rights are trampled.
📢 JUSTICE FOR UGYA YOUTH LEADER!
📢 JUSTICE FOR OUR FARMERS!
📢 JUSTICE FOR OUR COMMUNITY!
🗣️ Please share this post. Let the world hear us. Let justice rise from Ugya to Abuja

Brief Historical Development of Ugya
Ugya, one of the oldest and most respected Egbira settlements in present-day Nigeria, has a rich historical heritage that dates back to the 13th century. Its establishment is attributed to four pioneering Egbira brothers—Itaku, Inda, Abdi-Koho, and Ada-Negba—who migrated to the area and founded what would become a thriving and influential community. These four brothers not only laid the physical and cultural foundations of Ugya but also established the four royal or ruling houses that continue to define the traditional leadership structure of the community to this day.
Each of these ancestral figures is honored as the progenitor of a distinct royal lineage:
The House of Itaku
The House of Inda
The House of Abdi-Koho
The House of Ada-Negba
These four houses are the exclusive custodians of Ugya’s throne, preserving the customs, identity, and traditional authority of the Egbira people in the region.
The origin of the name “Ugya”, alternatively written as “Uja”, is both symbolic and culturally significant. Oral tradition and local history recount that the settlement was named after a unique and crafty bird commonly found in the area during its early development. In the Egbira language, this bird is known as Ugya (or Uja)—a creature admired for its intelligence and adaptability. The same bird is known in the Hausa language as Yaute. The choice of this name not only reflected the natural environment but also mirrored the traits that the founders perhaps saw in themselves and sought to instill in their descendants: wisdom, resilience, and strategic thinking.
A remarkable aspect of Ugya’s traditional system is the preservation of its chieftain lineage. Throughout its centuries-long existence, the Otaru of Ugya—the title given to the traditional ruler—has always been an Egbira man from one of the four founding houses.

Every Tribe Has a History—So Should Every Claim

In Nigeria, every tribe, from the north to the south, the east to the west, holds a deep-rooted connection to the land they occupy. These lands, homes, and communities were not claimed by mere words—they are backed by generations of history, migration, struggle, settlement, and legacy.

For any group to claim ownership or ancestral ties to a land, there must be a solid historical foundation—oral traditions, documented history, cultural landmarks, and evidence of ancestral presence. This applies equally and fairly to all ethnic groups across our beloved country.

Therefore, to our Bassa brothers and sisters, this is a sincere call: If you are laying claim to land, homes, or communities, especially in regions with established ancestral owners, it is only fair and just that your claims be backed by clear and truthful historical accounts. Respect for history is the foundation of peace, justice, and coexistence.

Let us build our narratives on truth, not assumptions. Let history speak—not sentiment.

Lions of the Land (Agaba idu)

In the heart of egbura land, where the red soil sings,
Two mighty lions once spread their wings.
With fire in soul and truth in hand,
They rose to guard our sacred land.

Alhassan Dio, with eyes like flame,
A voice that thundered our father’s name.
He stood like stone, unshaken, wise—
With every breath, a people’s rise.

Beside him walked brave Abdul Salam,
A shield of peace, a warrior’s calm.
Where storms would gather, he held the line,
A heart of gold, a will divine.

They fought not with blade, but with burning word,
And in their silence, justice stirred.
They walked for us through fire and fear,
So we may speak and stand sincere.

No crown they wore, no throne they sought,
Yet kings they were in every thought.
The people’s roar, the soil’s own cry,
Still echoes loud beneath our sky.

Agaba Idu—the lion’s might,
Burns in their name, a guiding light.
Though gone from sight, they rise in lore,
Their legacy—our sacred roar.

So let the drums of egbura lands sound,
Let every footstep shake the ground.
For in our hearts, forever true,
We march with them—in me, in you.
Idu! Idu!! Idu!!! Aannah

"Freedom is not given; it’s earned through sacrifice. The land we stand on holds our history, our identity, and our future. Those who fought before us did not do so for themselves alone—they fought for all of us. Now, it’s our turn. We carry their legacy, not with force, but with unity, courage, and hope. Every word, every action, is part of the fight. Together, we build the future they dreamed of, keeping their flame alive in everything we do."
