President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is leading the National Police Assembly in the Assembly of the Presidential Assembly, Abuja. The session started at 2:39pm today Thursday, shortly after the President concluded the National Assembly meeting where he presented the name of the new INEC chairman.

During today's session, attendees prayed in memory of former National Police Sufeton, Solomon Arase, who passed away on August 31, 2025. The Council reflects on current security challenges, progress made in reforms at the police department, and the comfort and resources of officers across the country. Also, it is expected to be discussed on topics related to leadership and working order between states.
Deputy President Kashim Shettima, National Secretary George Akume, Security Advisor Nuhu Ribadu, Minister of Police Ibrahim Gaidam are in attendance with all state governors and their representatives.
