PLATEAU TO PARTNER AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH
INSTITUTE OF NIGERIA FOR ENHANCED FOOD PRODUCTION
Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong has expressed the
readiness of the State Government to partner with the
Agricultural Research Institute of Nigeria (ARCN) in utilizing
research findings to improve the production capacity of its
farmers.
The Governor was speaking at the commissioning of an e-
library, agric museum, agricultural radio and television stations
as well as the foundation laying for the new administrative
office for the ARCN in Abuja.
Lalong said the initiative by the Agency will go a long way in
filling the gap between farmers and agricultural managers in
terms of information and knowledge sharing on new farming
practices, improved varieties of seeds as well as modern
methods of farming using technology.
He commended the Executive Secretary of the ARCN Prof.
Garba Sharubutu for his innovative approach since he assumed
duties and said he was not surprised by his achievements
seeing that he did a lot to make agriculture viable in Plateau
State while serving as Special Adviser before his appointment
by president Muhammadu Buhari.
He said with 4 Research Institutes and 2 out stations located
in Plateau State, there have been so many gains which
resulted in recent hosting of International Summit on potato
and the flagging off of dry season wheat farming in Nigeria.
Minister of agriculture and rural development Dr. Muhammad
Mahmood Abubakar said the initiatives by the ARCN are part
of implementing the directives of President Buhari for Nigeria
to leverage on its potentials in the agricultural sector for
national development.
He challenged the Institute to push through with all the
research activities and ensure that the findings are
disseminated to the farmers at the grassroots for
transformation in food production.

NEW PLATEAU SPEAKER RT. HON. YAKUBU SANDA VISITS
GOVERNMENT HOUSE; ASSURES OF SYNERGY WITH OTHER
ARMS OF GOVERNMENT.
The new Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly Rt.
Hon. Yakubu Sanda has led Principal officers and some
members of the House to the Government House to assure
the Executive arm of its collaboration and cooperation in
running the affairs of the State.
The new Speaker was recieved at the Government House by
Secretary to the Government of the State Prof. Danladi Abok
Atu on behalf of the Governor.
Speaking during the visit, the Majority leader of the House
Hon. Naanlong Daniel said they were at the Government House
in line with the tradition of the House to introduce the new
leadership of the House whenever there is a change.
He said the new Speaker emerged after 16 of the 23 Members
of the House signed the petition to impeach the former
Speaker Rt. Hon. Nuhu Ayuba Abok over series of allegations.
The new Speaker Hon. Yakubu Sanda said the new leadership
of the House will work in synergy with the Executive and
Judiciary for the peace, progress and development of Plateau
State.
He said the House which now enjoys full autonomy will use its
legislative powers to ensure that Government programs and
projects impact the people at the grassroots level.
Responding on behalf of the Governor, Secretary to the
Government of Plateau State Prof. Danladi Abok Atu said
Governor Lalong and the entire Executive arm was surprised
with the development, but nevertheless respects the decision
of the House which is an autonomous organ that has powers
to manage its internal affairs.
He assured the House that the doors of the Executive will
always remain open for collaboration and cooperation with the
legislature in delivering good governance and actualising the
Rescue Agenda.
The Speaker was accompanied on the courtesy visit by Deputy
Speaker Rt. Hon. Shehu Sale Yipmong, Majority leader and ten
other members.

Davido has oppressed people, I will donate N800,000 to
court for Ganduje on me- Jaafar Jaafar
DAILY NIGERIAN Author Jaafar Jaafar has declared that
he will use N800,000 of court's collections against Kano
State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
Ganduje reported Jaafar in Kano in 2018 for
disappearance after a famous journalist published videos
showing the governor responding to US dollars as a goro.
But from the end, the court ordered Ganduje to pay Jaafar
N800,000 for wasting his time after the governor withdrew
the case.
In an interview Jaafar held with Freedom Radio in Kano
today Saturday, Jaafar announced that he will donate all
the funds to the Innocent Life program which involves part
of the medical aid and tuition fees at the radio station.
Jaafar adds that he will fill N200,000 to be N1,000,000 to
help the low.
Jaafar has now found asylum in England after
complaining that his life is being threatened due to the
expansion of his dollar.

reform our national security infrastructure, improve funding for
national security intervention and ensure effective oversight of
resources allocated to protecting our country and defending

'Leader of crushing', Shekarau has insulted Ganduje
Former Governor of Kano, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, has
given Kano Governor Abdullahi Ganduje Gugar Zana in a
political conference held at his home in Kano today
Tuesday.
While he was about to start his speech at the meeting,
Shekarau was talking to Ganduje as "the leader of cushe-
cushe".
If you recall, DAILY NIGERIAN newspaper published a
video of Ganduje looting US dollars in his pocket.
Since then it has become a tornado and thunderstorms.
While he was about to start his speech at the meeting,
Sikaru started saying "Alhajiji Na-goda said he is the
leader of the collective." And I asked him to tell me who
is the leader of the criminals? """""
Shekarau has been saying this, and his supporters will be
confused by shouting and shouting.
Then the Senator continued to complain about party
issues that were going on in his part, saying he did so to
give Kano members and the people of Kano.
Additionally, Shekarau said that since Ganduje invited
party members, including her National President, Adams
Oshiomole, invited him to join APC, and win the election,
the governor has not done anything with the party.
He added that even the elections of the party leaders in
the constituency, local and state governments, the
governor should do for his life without being taken away
by his people.
He said that he will not leave APC until he save the
people of Kano from the fake leadership of the party,
where he said "the party has become the governor, the
wife of the governor and the leader." ""

POS Operator Bags Six Months Jail Term for Fraud in Maiduguri

A High Court in Maiduguri, Borno State, today, November 11, 2021 convicted and sentenced one Yusuf Abubakar to six months imprisonment for the theft of N600, 000.00 (Six Hundred Thousand Naira).

Justice Aisha Kumaliya, convicted Yusuf on a two-count charge preferred against him by the Maiduguri Zonal Command of the EFCC.

The convict who is a POS operator, on the pretext of carrying out a ‘mobile banking’ transaction, fraudulently transferred the sum of N600, 000.00 to his personal account from the account of one Isa Jibrin without his consent.
