: Tension in Bukuru As Traders and Taskforce Clashes

Today, 17 June, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in the Sector 5 Area around Zazaga Plaza in Bukuru today, leading to significant unrest. A stray bullet (allegedly) struck a resident, during an altercation between local youths and a task force.

Reports indicate that the task force had been in the area the previous day to demolish structures deemed illegal. When they returned to continue the operation today, they were confronted by local shop owners and youths. In response to the confrontation, security personnel fired shots into the air, and a stray bullet hit Anas in the chest, resulting in his immediate de@th.

The incident has sparked considerable tension, with witnesses reporting that youths began burning tires in protest. Our media received video showing as a parked vehicle was burning.

Authorities have been urged to restore normalcy and address the concerns of the local community. Further details will be provided as the situation develops.
