Thoughts

Right thinking is a necessity for holy living.
As often as possible the devil brings flashy but evil thoughts to our minds and we tend to think about them because they seem appealing and these thoughts then grow bigger and bigger until we loose the true perspective but as children of God, He gives us the mind of Christ to have right thoughts and make right decisions unto His glory.

The way you think determines your decision and your decision in turn, determines how you live your life. So take heed.

Ephesians 4:17 - 19
17- So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking.
18- They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.
19 - Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more.

Who is controlling you? The SPIRIT (GOD) or the FLESH?

Romans 8:5-8
Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.

The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace;
the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so.

Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

*THE MIND IS A BATTLE FIELD*
The mind is a factory where thoughts are produced. It is a battlefield where war is fought and on a battlefield, it is either you win or you loose.
In this context, the war is between negative/evil thoughts and positive/good thoughts.
The devil is very crafty and always tries to scheme his ways into our thoughts because when he gets your thoughts, he takes hold of you and manipulates to do his bidding.
Be careful of your thoughts because the devil uses your thoughts to influence your actions.

No wonder the bible says in
Proverbs 4:23 - Guard your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.
