RCC Giring Chairman Urges Christian Unity During Pastoral Visit to Church of Christ in Nations LCC Gurah-Loh Gyang

The Regional Church Council (RCC) Chairman of Giring Distinguished For Christ Rev. Gyang Moses Chuwang delivered a stirring message on Christian identity and unity during a pastoral visit on March 8, 2026, to the Local Church Council (LCC) Gurah-Loh Gyang

In his pastoral greetings and sermon, the RCC Chairman emphasized the call for believers to live as distinguished members of the Church, stressing that spiritual distinction is not reserved for elders alone but applies to every member of the Christian community.

He warned that the Church risks losing its spiritual relevance if it fails to stand out in character and conduct, declaring, “If we are not distinguished, we will be extinguished.”

Preaching on the theme “Unity as One Body in Christ,” he drew scriptural reflections from 1 Corinthians 12:12–14 and Romans 12:3–9, highlighting the biblical foundation of collective identity in Christ.

He explained that although Christians possess diverse gifts, roles, and personalities, they remain inseparably united as one body.

The cleric further described the concept of spiritual unity as a divine mystery, noting that regardless of the number of believers, the Church functions as a single, coordinated unit under Christ.

According to him, this unity defines the Church’s strength and purpose, while concluding his message, the RCC Chairman cautioned members against attitudes and actions that emphasize personal differences in ways that could fracture fellowship.

He urged the congregation to preserve harmony and mutual respect, reminding them that visible divisions weaken the shared bond that sustains the Body of Christ.

The visit formed part of ongoing pastoral engagements aimed at strengthening fellowship and spiritual growth among congregations within the RCC Giring jurisdiction.
