The Urge

Interesting how most, not really every action starts with an urge

It's at this point, that the mind has the power of choice
To do or not do

The Urge isn't the seed being sowed, which later manifests. It is the idea, most times, fleeting, that is squashed or reinforced

It's the thought that precedes the action

Unconscious actions actually start with conscious decisions, choices that are then reinforced subtly or decisively

No seed of doubt can be planted without the urge to entertain the process

Fight or flight starts with the urge

The Urge to know

The inquisitive nature of man is such that we want to know, to understand and be sure
The Urge to know

The inquisitive nature of man is such that we want to know, to understand and be sure

Even faith is reinforced until that silent voice dominates every nerve

The down side is that the urge never goes away. It can stay recessive and quietly creep back to force you to choose

Can we really understand gratitude without experiencing lack ?

Will it take war for us to fully appreciate peace?

Will it take loneliness to fully appreciate companionship ?

Will it take being sick to appreciate health?

Will it take hunger and thirst to appreciate food and water no matter the quality and quantity?

It took me being at my lowest to appreciate the least

Gratitude is knowing you can be better, do better but knowing that pulling the rug from under you right now, will have you wishing for what you have been taking for granted

She was drowning.
And nobody noticed…
Nobody, except her.

It was June 2022, at the World Championships in Budapest.
Anita Álvarez, an American artistic swimmer with Mexican roots, was performing a flawless routine.
But when her performance ended… she didn’t come up for air.

She had lost consciousness.
Her body floated for a few seconds, then began to sink.
Slowly. All the way to the bottom of the pool.

The audience didn’t notice. Neither did the judges.
Everyone was clapping.

But her coach, Andrea Fuentes, noticed.
She knew Anita—knew exactly how long it took her to surface.
She felt in her heart that something was wrong.

Without thinking twice, she dove in.
Fully dressed. Shoes and all.

She swam straight down, grabbed Anita by the waist,
and brought her back up.
She saved her life.

This story left me thinking…

Who knows you well enough to notice when you’re not okay, even if you’re still smiling?
Who would dive in for you without hesitation when you no longer have the strength to come up for air?

And more importantly…

Would you be that person for someone else?
Are you present enough in your loved ones’ lives to sense the moment they start to sink?
Or are you just another spectator, clapping, not realizing that inside, they’re fading?

In this life, we all need someone who doesn’t just see us—
but truly notices us.
Someone who knows when we’re about to give up,
and has the courage to jump in and save us.

*Interesting world*

Winston Churchill: I prefer not to wish anyone health and wealth but only luck, because most people on the Titanic were healthy and wealthy but very few were lucky

Napoleon Bonaparte: I'd rather have lucky generals than good ones

Eisenhower: give me lucky generals over smart ones, they win battles

And when we pray, let us ask for favor for that is the good luck that is mostly the x factor in everything from relationships to business

Ecclesiastics 9:11

But when luck comes, will it find you prepared?

Cheers to good luck

There is a strange love alot of people have for bigger sizes
A bigger house
A bigger car
A bigger this or a bigger that

It's strange because bigger doesn't necessarily give more value, it gives a temporary satisfaction to the ego, seeing that the ego quickly gets bored and wants bigger

Of bigger and value, while bigger can sometimes equate to more value, it is most times not necessary

Next time ask if bigger brings more value, if not it will come with more stress.

It should be value over size, always

Heaven will not fall

It didn't fall after that heart break
Neither did it fall when Dad died
It didn't fall when the businesses were closing down one after the other
Neither will it fall if you commit su***de
No sir, it will not fall

What we run away from is the pain
The pain that comes from not achieving our dreams
We look for how to navigate not being in the spotlight anymore and perhaps, how to come face to face with our loved ones seeing us as failures

When time is passing and we seem left behind
When the step ahead is so far off and we can't see how to reach it
There is no hope
But I tell you, heaven will still not fall

What's really behind the smiles and laughter?
Is it depression, emptiness or frustration?

Well people are often oblivious of your inner man. They only see what is in their face

The beauty of life is that in every situation, there is a choice between life and death
Choose life
Always look for life in the choices and choose it

Choose to live
And on your terms
And when life pulls you from every angle, quietly cut off the unnecessary strings

Choose to live
Choose life

Whether it's a six or a nine has proven the fact that a lot of things are down to perception.
What side are you viewing the six or nine from?

A mad man who talks about his madness is not really mad.
It's like looking at an extremely weird person and wondering if the weirdo understands his/her actions are not normal and the weirdo wondering why it's difficult for people to grasp his ways

It's like an incredibly smart babe wondering why it's so difficult for second and third party to respond to simplicity
For it's simple to her and really complex to someone else

A thief doesn't understand what the fuss is about stealing what doesn't belong to you

Maybe that's why we have been instructed not to judge

The world as we view it, is different from the lenses through which we view it
