LETTER TO MORTAL ENTREPRENEURS AND STARTUP.
In the 7th month of 2025, I was scrolling on a social app where even the great and rich interact like normal people.
I was just looking through posts when one stopped me.
A phrase in the first paragraph said Pray for your clients.
I paused. My mind started asking questions🤔, pray for what? A big deal? More customers? A happy family? Peace? Cause many don't have it. But the answer was… none of these.
I kept reading. The writer said he had just lost one of his high-paying clients. His client had died.
I could feel the pain in his words.
He wasn’t asking us to pray for money or success for our clients.
He was asking us to pray for their life and health.Yes, we all know one day we will die,but no one dreams of building an empire and never spending a single night inside it.
From his post, I understood this wasn’t about the money he got working with him,It was about their friendship and connection, it was the bond between teammate.
Now, his client’s wife is a widow, His children have no father. I imagined the plans he had with them, the promises, the moments, the dreams…
But death took him before he could keep them.
So I decided to find out more about what causes many young, talented entrepreneurs and start up who die suddenly.
Here’s what I learned:
1. Neglected Health
Many trade balanced meals for fast food and caffeine which is true.
2. Sleep Deprivation
They sacrifice rest to work longer hours, weakening their body’s defenses ,I can say I'm guilty of this but I pay back during the day.
3. Crushing Stress
Unhealthy stress leads to heart attacks, strokes, and high blood pressure often at a young age.
This reminded me of a painful story😩.
A beautiful 26-year-old woman named Anna Sébastien, an audit executive in India, died in July last year.
She was full of dreams, had a love life that I'm sure of, a loving family, and I also believed she promised her parents she would retire them, but severe stress, endless workload, and sleepless nights ended her life too soon.
Another was Zhang Rui, a CEO and founder.
In 2016, he died from a heart attack caused by overwork.
Let look at it in this angle we don’t need to be slaves to our work, I’m not saying we should be lazy only that we need balance.
There’s a saying: If hard work alone leads to success, the donkey would own the farm, It may sound strange now, but life will teach you what it means.
Dear entrepreneurs, Build your dreams but keep your health.Create a life that’s balanced,Work smart, not until you’re broken.
Building a team that shares Same vision is called smart work, divide tasks. Let others help carry the load.
