Finding Work You’re Passionate About Part 1

So, I hear you’re looking for an invigorating job.

You want to do work you’re passionate about and get paid well to do it. You yearn for success, but don’t know how to channel your creative energy.

Following your passion is a decent place to begin, but you’re going to need more than that. Every aspiring Hollywood actor is passionate, but only a few ever get paid enough to cover their rent because so many people dream of seeing their faces on the big screen.

The desire to star in movies and TV shows isn’t what’s scarce. The market for actors is oversaturated, and so much of the time, success comes to luck and personal connections.

Success is easier when you pursue things other people are ignoring. To do that, you need to get off the default path. Though there’s less explicit direction along the independent route, it unlocks far more opportunity because there’s so much less competition.

Most people think hard work is the result of passion. But at the beginning, passion is the result of hard work.

Almost everybody I talk to who doesn't know what they’re passionate about isn’t doing enough. They sit around waiting for inspiration to strike.

Don’t wait; create.

If you want to be an urban planner, design a three-dimensional model of your ideal city. To be a fashion designer, start making your own clothes. And if you want to become a writer, write every day and publish at least one article every week. Passive learning isn’t enough – there’s a certain kind of knowledge you only gain by actually doing the thing....

Again, we have soon forgotten that the greatest investment is the investment in SELF. YOUR MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH IS YOUR MOST VALUABLE ASSETS. DO NOT TAKE IT FOR GRANTED...

WHERE IS HER ATTENTION?
It is a new year. She has sat down to write her resolutions, goals, dreams and purpose. She was very much obsessed with the joy of starting afresh. to score the goals she couldn't score and take the trophy. To win the races she couldn't win, to set the records she couldn't set. She is unrelenting in her quest to craft something of her own. She sincerely wants to make it right once again. She wrote of how she is going to serve the Lord with the whole of her mind and soul. To study her Bible, fast and pray. To sum it up, she want to pick herself up again and live up to her destiny...

Days into the new year, a friend of hers slide into her DM on WhatsApp introducing a new financial scheme that just launched in Africa giving money to youths. While seeking clarification on how to enroll, she receives a Facebook notification from another friend asking her if she has heard of "tripple Trade" Friend: "It is a platform that pays you three times the amount you invest within 1 hr." She: "Wow, I think I love this." One week after signing for the deals they all prove abortive. She said to herself, " I will never give in to any of those Ponzi and pyramid scheme out there again.", as she cries herself to sleep.

Trying to heal from the pain, her cousin sister visited. They began chatting and the cousin told about a new-found boyfriend she met from a dating site. After hearing about that, she began an ultimate search for a boyfriend hoping she could also find one like her cousin. Clicking on different dating site to another. Sitting on the sofa going through reels (short videos) from her Instagram handle, she stunt into reels of her secondary School mates flunting money from one social party to another. soon she felt the heat of graving to be like them..."She wants to _bam bam"_ She want to chill with the big gang" She wish to make ' _Dorime_her soundtrack when she is outside. She forgot so soon, how cold it is outside there.

With the phone in her hand she had signed up for more than 7 different courses online. She felt in love with programming, and later found herself writting. She keeps vacillating from one dream to another. Soon, she subjected herself to an object of instability. She promised never to download the Tik-Tok social app on her device. She said she was okay with WhatsApp, Facebook & Instagram. Soon, she found herself spending hrs scrolling on Tik-Tok videos. Little did she know that time is fleeting while she was thrilled by the funny, crazy, nasty and entertaining videos.

Crypto currency is now trending and is the world's fastest faite money investment and exchange technology with Bitcoin as its lead; she has read on a newspaper cover page. She is now considering to invest into the crypto currency tech. She is now in the midst of so many distractions almost about to be drown. Her quest has now grown into confusion. She is now tensioned and lack attention. Where is her attention?

Days went by, weeks fleeted and now months later. All she sees is distractions__social, economic, cultural etc. All she felt was pressure and what I called "expectancy syndrome" The Expectation was high for her to bear. Imposter syndrome has taken over her...She doesn't remember anything she wrote on her visionboard or goal-writing Journal...She seeks attention from men that has now resulted into confusion. Trying to impress men but now depressed. Trying to contest for fame and riches the easy way but now detested by those who cheered her up at the first instance. Living to outshine others she is now doomed.

She is ALWAYS wanting to get more like Oliver Twist. She longs to do everything like Jack that trades on all things and masters none...She knows the price of so many things but not the value of one...She wears expensive dresses but fails to see how naked her pride is stripping her of her dignity and respect.Distraction... Distraction... Distraction everywhere. All her 360° turns are sorrounded with nothing but distraction...She is overwhelmed by how everything is happening around her.
No Attention, No Focus!!! Who can help her, who can tell her the truth for her to be set free...? I think I know🤔 I think only her can tell herself the truth...But is she willing to know, accept and believe the TRUTH?
