Let’s drop emotions for a second because this is where many people make the mistake that changes their life forever.

You’re angry.
You’re embarrassed.
People are watching.
Your instinct is to react to defend yourself to “return it.”

But here is the hard truth

The moment you raise your hand back at a police officer, you may have just turned yourself from a victim into a suspect.

Yes, what the officer did may be wrong.
Yes, it may even be illegal. But reacting physically? That can be interpreted as:

🥢 or even resisting arrest

And just like that the story changes. Instead of asking,

They will start asking,
