🌿 THE VILLAGE PROMISE 🌿
Episode 1: The Promise
The day Ada returned to her village, it felt like a festival.
After eight years in Lagos, she had become one of the country’s youngest lawyers. She didn’t come home to show off—she came back to fulfill a dream: building her parents the beautiful house they had always prayed for.
The village square came alive with drummers, dancers, and joyful songs. Children ran after her, shouting her name. Her father smiled proudly as he watched the celebration.
Then, everything changed.
An elderly woman slowly stood up, leaning on her walking stick.
The drums fell silent.
She looked directly at Ada and said,
“Your father made a promise on the day you were born… and today, that promise must be fulfilled.”
The crowd froze.
Ada turned to her father, expecting an explanation.
Instead…
He lowered his head.
A single tear rolled down his face.
What promise had he kept hidden for 28 years?
