The President of the United States of America, Trump Signals Iran War May End After Call With Putin
Donald Trump said the war with Iran could soon come to an end after a phone call with Vladimir Putin. Trump told reporters that U.S. forces are performing better than expected and are far ahead of their original plan. He claimed Iran’s military strength has been heavily damaged during the conflict.
According to Trump, Iran has lost much of its military capability, including its navy, communication systems, and air force. He also said many of Iran’s missiles and drones have been destroyed by U.S. strikes, suggesting the war is almost finished.
Trump’s statement came shortly after his conversation with Putin. The Kremlin said the Russian leader shared ideas and proposals that could help end the war quickly through political and diplomatic solutions. During the call, both leaders also discussed the ongoing war in Ukraine and global oil market issues.
After Trump’s remarks, the U.S. stock market improved following earlier losses, and oil prices dropped. Trump also mentioned he was considering taking control of the Strait of Hormuz, an important route for global oil shipping.
Despite claims that Iran’s military has been weakened, the conflict has still caused casualties. Iran reportedly launched retaliatory attacks on U.S. bases and some Gulf countries after the death of its supreme leader, killing seven American troops.
