Today is the birthday of the man who gave me life. A man whose sacrifices and love have shaped the person I am today.

My siblings and I are who we are today because of you sir.

I remember when I was still small and tender , in primary school. You had a bicycle then, and you would always carry me to and from school. There are so many beautiful memories to share, but time would fail me.

When I got into secondary school, you were still there for me. I remember how you always gave me N100 for my transportation to and from school when we were living at Ernmaco Area in Kafanchan and I was attending Anglican Junior Seminary.

I remember that some days, even N50 to give me was a challenge , but you never stopped making sure I didn't have to trek to school, even if it meant giving me your last card. I would cry, but you would always encourage me, telling me it was only for a short time and that everything would be fine.

Fast-forward to my National Diploma days... wow! The feeding money, the school fees, the countless calls just for you to send me money so I could sustain myself in school .Not once did you complain. Instead, you kept telling me that the greatest thing you could do for me in life was to give me a quality education.

You watched me finish my ND and proceed to my HND, yet you never gave up on me. When El-Rufai increased our school fees from N25,000 to N100,000 , you didn't ask me to drop out. Instead, you paid the fees despite the many other responsibilities on your shoulders, and you never complained. You did the same for my immediate younger brother without complaining.

Because of your sacrifices sir, we vowed to make you proud. We didn't just graduate ;we graduated well. My brother and I both graduated with Upper Credit in our ND, and we also graduated with Upper Credit in our HND. Beyond that,God has opened doors and made ways for us, and today we are who we are because of His grace and your sacrifices.

Sir, I just want you to know that we see you, we value you , and we love you. We will never fold our hands and watch you suffer. Never. And may God never forgive us if we ever think of neglecting all the sacrifices you made for us.

We will celebrate you for the rest of your life here on earth because you are worth celebrating sir, and every blessing God has placed in our lives is also a testimony of your sacrifices.

I really can't help but cry. 😭

You know how they say one of your wedding vendors might annoy you? Yeah!😔

That's exactly what happened with my wife's traditional drummer 🤣

They had agreed on a date, time, and fee. She even paid him a part payment, with the balance due after the event. But despite all this, he didn't show up on time.

My wife kept calling him, but he wouldn't pick up or return her calls.

She even asked her brother to call, but the drummer still refused to answer 😔

At one point, she sent me his numbers to try and reach him, but there was still no response. My wife was so stressed 🤣. Sorry that I'm laughing it's funny 🙈

When we arrived at the event, the drummer still hadn't shown up. He was supposed to receive her supposed husband and in-laws but he was no where to be found and she was getting more angrier 🙃 guess what? He was playing elsewhere 🥴

But then she remembered telling herself "COMFORT, NOTHING SHOULD MAKE YOU CRY, VEX, OR RUIN YOUR DAY."

So, she dropped her phone and stopped calling. Her brother kept trying to reach the drummer, though!

The drummer finally arrived when my wife was about to meet with us and her family outside 😔 although he still delivered.

The bottom line of this story is this, Event planning is a big job, and it's a good idea to hire a professional if you can. Also, try to keep a calm heart and avoid getting mad or vexed on your special day. But in our own case we managed within our budget, and we believe we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. But my wife saw Shege banza promax 🤣🤣🤣

I don't know why, but they just feel different 😅. Maybe it's because they came with a touch of love and not just with money.

The funny thing is that even when I have newer ones that I personally bought , I still find myself looking for the ones she got for me first 🤣.

My manifesto was simple, straight, and to the point 👌

I didn't mess around or play games o.

I looked her in the eye and told her how I felt and how I loved her and wanted to spend the rest of my life making her happy as her husband, her rock, and her provider.

Those were my exact words, and I know she still remembers 😊

No beating around the bush, no ''LET'S BE FRIENDS'' nonsense😅

I was clear, direct, and confident about what I wanted.

And you know what? I believe that's what men should do.

Don't be shy, don't be afraid to speak your mind and tell a woman how you feel.

Don't just go with feelings, instead go with a CLEAR PURPOSE.

Be bold, be direct, and let your INTENTIONS be KNOWN.

A MAN'S S***M DECIDES MORE THAN THE BABY

Nobody teaches this in church.

Nobody says it during traditional marriage.

They just bless two people, dance, and eat rice.

But here’s the hard truth: a man’s s***m doesn’t only decide the baby.
It decides the mother’s future health too.

Every s***m cell a man releases is a biological signature — a full-blown chemical report of his lifestyle, his diet, his addictions, his stress, his peace, his sickness.

If he eats garbage, drinks every night, never sleeps, smokes, watches nonsense, and calls it “enjoyment,” guess what happens?

He’s writing poison into his DNA.

And when that DNA enters a woman, her body reads it.

You think the s***m just goes there to fertilize an egg?

No.

The woman’s immune system must first “approve” it.

Her womb must “trust” it.

If it doesn’t, there’s war inside her body — inflammation, miscarriage, hormonal storms.

On my wedding day , I cried 😭. I couldn't believe it. Those tears were not tears of sadness.

They were tears of gratitude and memories.
As I stood there taking our vows , so many things flooded my mind.

I remembered where the journey started ,the challenges, the prayers , the waiting, and all the moments that led to that day.

I was overwhelmed by the thought that God had given me His daughter to be my wife. Not just for a season o, but for as long as we both shall live here on earth, and by God's grace, forever in eternity .

Funny enough, this same woman, then my babe, frustrated my ambition of becoming her husband o 😅.

Why?
Because according to Madam, I was not from her tribe 🤣 .

My people , the journey was not as smooth as it may look today oo 😅.

By all means, make sure you marry right.

Marriage is one decision that can either make life easier or make it harder . It can bring peace, wealth, growth, support ,and happiness, or it can become a daily gbas- gbos if the wrong choice is made.

Don't rush because of age, peer pressure, family pressure ,loneliness, or physical attraction alone. Take your time. Pray. Observe. Ask questions . Pay attention to character, values, mindset, and how the person treats others.

Beauty fades, money comes and goes , but character, and compatibility will keep a marriage standing when life happens.

Nobody gets everything perfectly, but before you say " I Do," make sure you are saying it to someone you can genuinely build with, grow together with , and do life with.

See erhn, by all means, MARRY RIGHT. Your future self and your children will thank you for it.
