Anthony Ejeh, a dedicated member of the YALI Network Kaduna and founder of Horama Community, believes the path to true societal transformation begins with raising young people who are purpose-driven, values-oriented, and spiritually rooted.
“In our communities, education often stops at passing exams,” Anthony says. “But real education is acquiring skills of relevance skills that shape character, fuel purpose, and serve humanity.”
With that belief, Anthony launched the Mentorship Revamp initiative under Horama Community a year-long program that mirrors the academic calendar and targets senior students in selected schools across Kaduna. His mission: to nurture a new generation of leaders grounded in Academics, Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Fellowship the four walls of Horama Community.
“The best way to learn is to involve young minds,” Anthony explains. “That’s what we stand for. The young shall see visions.”
The first cohort of the program, tagged “The Journey of a Thousand Miles,” began with 33 young minds and concluded with the graduation of 14 dedicated mentees. These students didn’t just receive guidance on how to study they were immersed in conversations about influence, personal growth, financial literacy, and spiritual purpose.
“Mentorship is the compass for success,” Anthony says. “It’s how we build communities that are sustainable and predictably progressive.”
By guiding young people to turn their passion into productivity and their potential into impact, Anthony is cultivating a ripple effect of change one student at a time.
“The goal is to culture the character of true leadership through education,” he says. “If we do not train young minds to lead with values now, the future will simply recycle the past.”
