HOW TO MAKE ALMOND MILK

Making almond milk is a simple process that requires just a few ingredients and some basic equipment. Here's a step-by-step guide:

Ingredients:
1. 1 cup of raw almonds
2. 2 cups of water
3. A pinch of sea salt
4. Optional: sweetener (dates, honey, or maple syrup), flavorings (vanilla, cinnamon, or nutmeg)

Equipment:
1. A blender or food processor
2. A nut milk bag or a fine-mesh strainer
3. A large bowl or container

Instructions:
1. Rinse the almonds and soak them in water for at least 8 hours or overnight. This will help to soften the skins and make them easier to blend.

2. Drain and rinse the soaked almonds.

3. Add the drained almonds, water, and sea salt to a blender or food processor. Blend on high speed for about 1-2 minutes, or until the almonds are completely pulverized and the mixture is smooth.

4. Pour the blended mixture into a nut milk bag or a fine-mesh strainer lined with a cheesecloth or a clean cotton cloth. Squeeze the bag or press on the solids to extract as much milk as possible. Discard the solids.

5. If you want a smoother milk, you can filter it again through a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth.

6. If desired, add a sweetener, flavorings, or other ingredients to the milk and stir to combine.

7. Store the almond milk in the refrigerator for up to 3-5 days. Shake well before using. You can also freeze the milk for up to 2 months and thaw it when needed.

Tips:
Use a high-speed blender or food processor to ensure the almonds are fully pulverized.

Adjust the ratio of almonds to water to your liking, but keep in mind that a higher ratio of almonds will result in a creamier milk.

If you don't have a nut milk bag, you can use a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth to strain the mixture.

Homemade almond milk will separate over time, so be sure to shake it well before using.
