🌍✨ New Week Message.

As we step into this new week, I send a heartfelt greeting to the resilient people of Lere LGA. May this week be one of renewed purpose, strengthened unity, and unshakable hope.
To every farmer in the field, every child in the classroom, every trader in the market, and every elder guiding our communities with wisdom, know that you are the strength and soul of our land. Your daily efforts are the heartbeat of Lere LGA, and I celebrate you.
Let us walk into this week with courage in our hearts and kindness in our hands. Let us choose peace over conflict, collaboration over division, and compassion over indifference.
My strongest wish for this week:
That every home in Lere LGA and beyond feels the touch of peace, that our youth find opportunities that inspire them, and that our leaders, in every space, are led by integrity, wisdom, and love for the people they serve.

May our steps this week bring progress.
May our voices inspire healing.
And may our actions leave behind footprints of unity and growth.
Together, we rise. Together, we thrive.
Blessed week to all.

🌍 Together for a Malaria-Free Lere Local Government !
1st July 2025 | Malaria Campaign Flag-Off Event

Happy New Month, my good people of Lere and beyond!

I had the honour of standing in for my boss, the Executive Chairman of Lere LGA, Hon. Jafaru Ahmed, at the official flag-off of the Insecticide Treated Nets (ITN) Distribution Campaign. I proudly served in my capacity as the Malaria Advocate for Lere LGA, a role I accept with deep gratitude and a sense of duty.
This campaign is not just an event, it is a life-saving mission. I sincerely appreciate the Federal Ministry of Health, through the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP), the Kaduna State Ministry of Health, the Lere Local Government Authority, Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Society for Family Health (SFH), Malaria Consortium, and all our Roll Back Malaria (RBM) partners for entrusting me with this vital responsibility and for their continued efforts to protect our communities.

πŸ’‘ Our collective goal is to ensure every household in Lere receives and properly uses their mosquito net. These nets are being distributed free of charge and are designed to protect our most vulnerable children under five and pregnant women from the deadly effects of malaria.
As Malaria Advocate, I commit to using every available platform, community forums, schools, faith-based gatherings, and media to sensitize our people on the importance of hanging and sleeping inside the net every night.

Let us all remember:
βœ… Air your net under a shade for 24 hours before use
βœ… Do not sell the netsβ€”they are free and meant to save lives
βœ… Encourage your neighbours to use theirs too
βœ… When every family member sleeps under a net, the entire household is protected

πŸ“’ I also encourage parents and caregivers to support the seasonal malaria chemoprevention (SMC) campaign. Ensure your children aged 3–59 months take and complete their preventive malaria medicine during household visits by the health teams.

🀝 By the grace of God, and with the support of our health workers, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and community partners, we will ensure no child dies from malaria, no mother loses a pregnancy, and we will drastically reduce malaria in Lere LGA.

Let’s make Lere a malaria-free zone starting from today.

πŸ¦ŸπŸ›‘οΈ Let’s hang the net. Let’s save lives.

🌿 A Greener Lere!!!

It was my honour and privilege to represent my Boss Hon. Jafaru Ahmed, the Executive Chairman of Lere Local Government Area at the official tree planting campaign by Women Initiative for Sustainable Environment (WISE) on their Integrated COVID and Climate Resilience Nigeria Program on June 12, 2025, at Saminaka.
This impactful initiative, which started with selected schools in Saminaka, Lere LGA, is not just about planting trees, it is about planting hope, building resilience, and standing with our communities in the face of climate and health challenges.
As a people-centered administration, we believe every tree planted is an investment in the wellbeing of our children, the air we breathe, and the strength of our communities tomorrow.
By greening our communities, we are creating natural shields against rising temperatures, air pollution, and the broader impacts of climate vulnerability, while also promoting cleaner, healthier environments for post-pandemic recovery.
This campaign is a call to action, a reminder that climate resilience begins at the grassroots, and every tree planted is a step toward a more sustainable and healthier Nigeria.
As a people, we commend WISE for choosing Lere as a partner in progress. Our doors remain open to genuine collaborations that uplift our people, protect our environment, and advance sustainable development at the grassroots.

Together, we will grow a healthier, greener, and more resilient Lere.

🌳 Let the roots we plant today anchor the peace, prosperity, and progress we seek tomorrow in Lere Local Government and Kaduna State.

Hon. Kalen Ehpraim Audu, PhD
Vice Chairman, Lere LGA

Yesterday, I proudly represented our visionary and peace-loving Executive Chairman, Hon. Jafaru Ahmed, during a high-level visit by a National Delegation made up of the Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH), National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), and IMPACT.
The team visited two of our health facilities; Lere PHC and Saminaka PHC which is scheduled to be upgraded to Level Two Hospitals under the Revitalisation Support Supervision program.
