“SCROLLING IS FREE BUT................But It’s Costing You Everything” Every time I talk about digital skills, someone says: “But Digital Yfresh, I don’t have money to invest.”
Really? You have no money but you have data bundles. You have Wi-Fi. You have unlimited scrolling stamina.
Scrolling is free… but it’s costing you everything.
It’s costing you time. Hours disappear into endless reels, and when you look up, your life hasn’t moved an inch.
It’s costing you focus. You can’t sit through a 30-minute tutorial, but you can binge 300 TikToks.
It’s costing you opportunities. The same internet that gave you memes also gave you millions of free resources — but you choose dopamine over development.
It’s costing you self-worth. You compare your behind-the-scenes to everyone else’s highlight reels, and wonder why you feel stuck.
And the saddest part? Most people aren’t addicted to their phones. They’re addicted to other people’s lives.
Listen, the same phone can waste you or raise you. The same screen can drain you or train you. The difference? What you choose to scroll.
If you can scroll all night but can’t learn one skill this month, don’t say “opportunities are scarce.” Say the truth: discipline is scarce.
Scrolling is free. But if you’re not careful, it will cost you your future.
