CHAWAI LAND HOLDS STAKEHOLDERS MEETING AT DAMAKASUWA TOWN HALL: INCLUDES POST-MEETING INTERVIEW WITH HON. UMARU RAKUN, FORMER COUNCILLOR OF PARI WARD
REMA TV reports that Chawai Land took a bold step toward unity and regional development today, 31st May 2025, as it hosted a high-level stakeholders meeting at the Chawai Town Hall, Damakasuwa.
The well-attended meeting brought together key decision-makers, traditional rulers, elders, youth leaders, political figures, and notable sons and daughters of the land. Present at the gathering were Hon. Muktar Zakari Chawai, Rev. Madaki Sarki (Chairman, Chawai Elders Forum), RES Tsam, Hakimin Chawai, and CDA National Youth Leader, Engr. Bala Rudeh Chawai, among several others.
Discussions focused on the collective advancement of Chawai Land through political inclusion, infrastructural development, youth engagement, and the preservation of cultural heritage. The tone of the meeting reflected a strong will for cooperation across generations and political affiliations.
In a post-meeting interview with REMA TV, Hon. Umaru Rakun, former councillor of Pari Ward and an influential voice in Chawai politics, praised the initiative. He described the gathering as “a stepping stone toward greater progress”, urging other political actors to embrace unity and prioritize community-driven development.
