The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Student Matters Ibrahim Maaji Sumaila had the privilege of joining His Excellency, the Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, and other government officials at the flag-off ceremony for the second batch of the 1001 Foreign and Domestic Postgraduate Scholarship Program.

He also facilitated the participation of students from the National Association of Kano State Students National Body - NAKSS NB under the Gida Gida Students Care Movement, who presented an Award of Excellence to His Excellency in recognition of his outstanding contributions to education and the overall development of Kano State.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Student Matters Ibrahim Maaji Sumaila was delegated to ATBU Bauchi months ago to assess the Kano hostel and provide a report with recommendations, following the request of the university’s NAKSS president and other student union leaders.

After his review, His Excellency Abba Kabir Yusuf directed the renovation of the hostel. The renovations have been completed, as shown in the pictures. The first 2 pictures shows the SSA before the renovation, while others display the fully renovated hostel. The students are truly grateful, Your Excellency.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Kano State on Student Matters was invited to an event at FCAPT. After the program, the president took him to see his project and receive his blessings. The project was the renovation of the ablution area, which was modernized and expanded with additional tap heads for the benefit of students.

The Senior Special Assistant Ibrahim Maaji Sumaila commended the president for this laudable initiative and called on other presidents to emulate such efforts, stressing that this is what true leadership is all about. He further noted that this kind of initiative reflects the vision of His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, who remains committed to student welfare and development.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Student Matters Hon. Ibrahim Maaji Sumaila, has continued his engagement with students of Kano State Polytechnic. After visiting the School of Management Studies, he proceeded to the School of Technology, where he interacted with SUG and NAKSS executives, student leaders, and individual students on the challenges they face.

He also paid a courtesy call on the management of the college, commending their efforts and support to the students. He assured that his findings will be presented to His Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, for necessary action.
