The truth of our northern identity is that ethnicity and religion are intertwined in the anorthern region. Where Muslims are majorly from the majority tribes such as Hausa, Fulani, Kanuri, etc; the Christians are majorly from the Minority tribes. This linkage suggests that for any political party or group to project "NATIONAL INTEGRATION", There must be a mixture of individuals from across the two major religions in the country: Islam and Christianity. In a situation whereby a political party wants to nominate a Presidential candidate from the SOUTH, the candidate should be a Christian because the majority of the Nigerian Christians reside or originate from the South. Therefore: for any political party to succeed and wins Presidential election in Nigeria, the selection of candidates must come in: (North+Muslim) and (South+Christian). This is the only combination that is required from any individual candidate, then competence and all other materials.
Whereas the Northern Muslims don't see their Northern christians as brothers and sisters, the Southern Christians also don't see their Muslim counterparts as brothers, Yorubas are the only exceptions. That's why Yorubas have the highest number of Muslims amongst them.
Sen. Lawan, the only competent northern aspirant in the APC Presidential primaries 2022, was one of the right choices APC could make because he could make a good pair with any of the christian aspirants. However, in a situation where power needs to be shifted to the South, PYO, ROCHAS and, or Amaechi should be the best candidate no matter who the running mate should be from the North.
Although, Atiku Abubakar 2023's strength seems to be difficult to be defeated by any of the APC aspirants. Tinubu is a wrong decision that APC will regret in it's entire political history.
Nigeria is the only country we have and therefore I will not succumb to any force that will lead to its destruction.
