The Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Kano State Command, under the leadership of State Commander Amb. Shehu Rabi'u, takes a major step forward in community policing with the establishment of the Anti-Robbery Section under the Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI).

As part of this initiative, Comr. Jamilu Ahmad Dakata (Jamilu Jinnu) has been appointed as the Head of the newly established Anti-Robbery Section.

During an official ceremony, Commander Amb. Shehu Rabi'u formally presented Comr. Jamilu Ahmad Dakata with his Certificate of Appointment and Commencement of Duties. The event was well-attended by officers, executives, and members of the command who came out in large numbers to show their support.

This development underscores the Command's commitment to supporting security agencies in tackling violent crimes, curbing armed robbery, and protecting lives and property across Kano State.

We congratulate Comr. Jamilu Ahmad Dakata on his new appointment and wish him full success in leading this vital section.

The Headquarters of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Kano State Command, located at Hotoro 'Dan Marke, under the leadership of the State Commander, Amb. Shehu Muhammad Rabi'u, hosted the Director-General of Special Services, Kano State Government House, Maj. Gen. Muhammad Sani (Rtd).

During the visit, where he was accompanied by staff from the Government House, key matters regarding the security of the state were discussed. Additionally, discussions centered on preparations for the commissioning ceremony of the newly constructed State Headquarters built under the administration of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, as well as plans to provide operational equipment to members across all 44 Local Government Areas.

The Command expresses its profound appreciation for this very important visit.

CALL FOR DATA CAPTURING & PAYMENT OF N1,500/N2,000 IS FRAUD AND CRIMINAL.

The office of the National Public Relations Officer has been drawn to a fraudulent social media publication requesting members of the vigilante group of Nigeria to pay a charge fee of N1,500/N2,000 for data capturing.

Please note, the Vigilante Group of Nigeria under the good leadership of the Commander General, Dr Usman Mohammed Jahun fsi will never request and has never requested payment for data capturing.

Data capturing is an ongoing process for new members and members whose bio-data are yet to be captured or operatives without identification card.

Holders of Vigilante Group of Nigeria digital identification card ID are already bio-data-captured. The chip on your ID card contains all relevant bio data information as requested and digitally documented on the VGN database. Therefore, if you own an ID card without digitally encrypted chip, the ID card is fake.

Importantly, data capturing is free and without charge. Therefore, anyone requesting for a fee or charge for data capturing is a fraudster, a criminal and such an individual should be reported to the nearest Vigilante Group Office or the police.

The Vigilante Group of Nigeria will never request for a fee before documenting your bio-data. VGN is a voluntary organization backed by law, any attempt to use the name of the organization to defraud members will be met with the full wrath of the law.

Please, disregard any social media post or publication requesting for a fee or charge before data capturing.
