OSI Layers Explained!
1. Physical Layer (Layer 1)
The foundation of the internet! This layer is all about the physical connections between devices, like cables, Wi-Fi, and networking hardware.
2. Data Link Layer (Layer 2)
Ensures error-free data transfer between devices on the same network. It's like a delivery system, making sure data packets reach their destination safely!
3. Network Layer (Layer 3)
The navigation system! This layer helps data packets find their way across different networks, using IP addresses to guide them.
4. Transport Layer (Layer 4)
The reliable messenger! This layer ensures data is delivered in the right order, using protocols like TCP to guarantee accuracy.
5. Session Layer (Layer 5)
The conversation starter! This layer establishes, maintains, and ends connections between applications.
6. Presentation Layer (Layer 6)
The translator! This layer converts data into a format that can be understood by the receiving device.
7. Application Layer (Layer 7)
The user interface! This layer provides services and interfaces for applications to communicate with each other.
Now you know the OSI layers!
