Do you know that the Igbos 🇳🇬 come from Israel 🇮🇱?
The Igbo tribe (one of the major 3 ethnic groups of Nigeria 🇳🇬) were originally migrating Israelites. As you know, Israelites were also called "hebrews".
As they migrated into Africa 🌍, the pronunciation changed to "heebo". Coming to West Africa, it had been modified to "Ibo".
And now, they are currently called Igbo.
The Igbo tribe live in the southeastern geopolitical zone of the current Republic of Nigeria in a number of states; Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo states.
They have wide variety of festivals including the New Yam Festival which is an important event for Igbos.
