Currently serving as the Chairman of the Pension Industry Non-Interest Advisory Committee (PINAC) at the National Pension Commission (PENCOM), he is a leading voice in the integration of Islamic principles into national financial policy. A certified Islamic finance practitioner, arbitrator, and educator, Professor Adam continues to be a pillar of trust, knowledge, and reform within Nigeria’s growing non-interest financial ecosystem.

His distinguished career spans academia, advisory, and community service. He holds two PhDs—one in Islamic Studies from Bayero University, Kano, and another in Islamic Commercial Jurisprudence from Al-Madinah International University, Malaysia—and has authored over 40 scholarly works on Islamic finance, Shari’ah-compliant pensions, sukuk, and ethical investing. In his role at PENCOM and other institutions, he pioneers inclusive non-interest financial frameworks. He also sits on the Shari’ah boards of institutions like Crown Takaful and Foremost Capital, and leads ANUTI Ethical Consulting Ltd, providing strategic advisory on governance and compliance. Through lectures, books, and digital platforms, Professor Adam actively demystifies Islamic economic principles and champions socio-economic equity.
