PRESIDENT TINUBU EMBARKS ON TWO-DAY VISIT TO KATSINA STATE

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja for Katsina State on Friday for a two-day official visit.

During the visit, the President will meet with key stakeholders to assess the security situation in the state.

He will commission the Katsina Agricultural Mechanized Centre and a 24KM dual carriageway completed by Governor Dikko Umar Radda.

President Tinubu will also honour an invitation to attend the wedding of the governor’s daughter before returning to Abuja.

Makarantar Koyar Da Fasaha ta Tarayya Da ke Daura Za Ta Gudanar Da Bikin Yaye Ɗalibanta Karo Na Biyu

- Za Ta Yaye Ɗalibai 408 da s**a kammala Difloma ta Ƙasa

Makarantar Koyar da Fasaha ta Tarayya da ke Daura a Jihar Katsina, ta shirya tsaf domin bikin yaye ɗalibai 408 da za a ba Satifiket na Difloma ta Ƙasa (ND) a yayin bikin da ta shirya karo na biyu na yaye ɗalibai da za a gudanar a ranar Asabar.

Shugaban makarantar, Farfesa Aliyu Mamman, ne ya sanar da haka a wani taron manema labarai da ya gudana a yammacin ranar Juma’a.

Waɗannan ɗaliban da za su kammala karatunsu sun fito ne daga sassa daban daban na makarantar 11.

Farfesa Aliyu Mamman ya kuma bayyana cewa makarantar ta Fasaha ta Tarayya ta Daura ta samu tallafin kuɗi na Naira miliyan 750 daga Asusun Tallafawa Manyan Makarantu (TETFund) a ƙarƙashin jagorancin sa.

A cewar sa, daga cikin wannan tallafin, Naira miliyan 350 an ware su ne musamman don haɓaka ƙwarewar ɗalibai, yayin da za a yi amfani da Naira miliyan 400 wajen samar da kayan aiki na fasaha da na dakunan gwaje-gwaje.

Haka zalika da yake jaddada irin tasirin tallafin TETFund din ya yi a makarantar, Shugaban ya yi alfahari da cewa, “A halin yanzu, dakunan gwaje-gwajenmu guda takwas suna amfani da hasken rana, wanda hakan ke tabbatar da gudanar da darussa cikin aminci ba tare da samun tsaiko ba duk da ƙalubalen wutar lantarki.”

Bugu da ƙari, Shugaban makarantar ya sanar da amincewar Hukumar Kula da Ilimin Fasaha ta Ƙasa (NBTE) da cewa su fara gudanar da sabbin kwasa-kwasan Babbar Difloma ta Ƙasa (HND) guda 11.

Polytechnic Secures N750m Tetfund Interventions
he management of Federal Polytechnic, Daura, Katsina State, has secured N750 million from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (Tetfund) on skill development and equipment upgrade.

The pioneer Rector of the Polytechnic, Prof. Aliyu Mamman, revealed this Friday at a press conference on the second convocation of the federal institution.

He said the polytechnic secured the Tetfund special intervention on skill development to the tune of N350 million and N400 million on equipment upgrade, amounting to N750 million.

He explained that the funds had significantly improved the institution’s skills acquisition programmes and the upgrading of equipment and laboratories.

Mamman said: “Presently, eight laboratories across many departments are solar-powered and students conduct their practical at all times without fear of power failure. These kind gestures by the Tetfund are recognized and highly appreciated.”

He, however, said the institution would be graduating 408 students from 11 departments and programmes during the second convocation ceremony scheduled for Saturday.

The rector added that the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has granted approval for the commencement of 11 Higher National Diploma (HND) for the polytechnic.
