8 YEARS , NO RING 💍 , NO RESPECT — JUST VIBES AND SUFFERING 💀👇🏽
So besties, let me gist you. I met a friend back in 2024 — sweet girl, calm, the type that believes in love more than logic. She’s been dating this divorced man for eight years and some months now.
When she met him, his first son was in senior secondary school, the second in junior, and the last one was still learning how to write A-B-C. Fast forward to now — the first is in university studying medicine, the second is in uni too, and the last is in SS1.
And this man? Still hasn’t married her. Not even a promise ring. Anytime she brings up marriage, he shrugs it off like she just asked for his kidney. 🙄
He has never visited her parents, never called her dad, never said “Sir, I’m dating your daughter.” Nothing!
Then last year, this man — a whole radiologist working in a federal hospital — looked her in the eyes and said,
“If I wanted to marry you, I would have done it when I met you. There were other ladies around, I would have picked them — not you.”
And my dear friend… stayed. 🥴
Like, girl?? This man insulted you to your face and your response was shopping with ₦50,000?? Because that’s what he gave her afterwards — ₦50k to “go shopping” — and suddenly everything was fine again. 💀
Meanwhile, this man doesn’t even take care of her. She pays for her own hair, skincare, food, toiletries — everything. She’s literally funding her own soft life while acting like a wife to a man who doesn’t even see her as one.
Now she says, “If 2025 ends and he hasn’t paid my bride price, I’ll leave.” 🤔
Babes, let’s be real — she’s not going anywhere. The grip he has on her is tighter than rent money in January. 😭
And the worst part? This same man is pressuring her to get pregnant. Like, for who exactly? You don’t even provide for her, and you want her to add motherhood to her suffering? 😒
At this point, I’m convinced she’s not in love — she’s in bo***ge.
