Sexual harassment is a serious violation of human rights and a pervasive problem in our society. It can take Breaktcalling and groping to sexual assault and r**e. As students of NSUK, we have a responsibility to create a safe and supportive environment for everyone.
The Silence is Deafening
Sexual harassment often goes unreported due to fear, shame, and stigma. But silence only perpetuates the problem. By speaking out, we can:
- Break the silence and break the shame
- Support survivors and hold perpetrators accountable
- Create a culture of consent and respect
The Effects are Real
Sexual harassment can have severe effects on mental and physical health, academic performance, and social relationships. It can lead to:
- Anxiety and depression
- Feelings of guilt and shame
- Difficulty concentrating and studying
- Social isolation and withdrawal
We Must Act
As the SUG of NSUK, we are committed to creating a zero-tolerance culture for sexual harassment. We urge you to:
- Speak out if you have experienced sexual harassment
- Support those who have been affected
- Report incidents to the appropriate authorities
- Join us in creating a culture of respect and consent
