TRUST GOD — HE WILL NOT FAIL YOU

When you put your trust in God, He will not fail you. He will not disappoint you. He will not put you to shame. He will never abandon or forsake you.

If you are hurting right now, please hold on. You are not alone.

God’s Word promises us:
1. He is with you always – _“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”_ Joshua 1:9
2. He will not put you to shame – _“...hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit.”_ Romans 5 5
3. He will never leave you– _“...for He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’”_ Hebrews 13:5
4. He is close to the brokenhearted– _“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”_ Psalm 34:18

Listen carefully:
Don’t listen to the devil — he is not your creator.
Don’t listen to men who laugh at you or despise you.

Keep trusting. Keep waiting. Your change is coming.
God is not a man, that He should lie. Numbers 23:19

Breathe. God is still working, and your story is not over.

Is Faithful, keep Hoping

Olusegun Obasanjo, aged 94, wrote a touching letter to Nigerians. Does this mean he is preparing to leave this world? Here is what he wrote:

My fellow citizens,

People say life is long. They say, “Take your time, there is plenty of it.” But I am 94 years old now, and I can tell you with certainty that this is not true. Life is not long; it passes in the blink of an eye. As I draw closer to leaving this world, my heart wants to leave you with a few lessons.

I accumulated wealth, gained influence, and earned recognition, but today all of these seem like dust gathering in the corner of my room. If I stretch out my hand now, not one of them can go with me.

Lesson One: Do Not Live Waiting

A large part of my life was spent waiting.

In school, I thought life would begin after graduation.

When I joined the military, I waited for the weekends.

When I got married, I waited for my children to grow up.

When they grew up, I began waiting for retirement.

I treated each day as just another step, thinking real life was somewhere ahead. But now I understand that there is no final destination; the journey itself is life.

Lesson Two: Gold Is Not Food

I spent 50 years accumulating wealth. I worked so hard that I missed precious moments with my family.

I bought large houses, expensive cars, and luxurious possessions, but now that I am nearing the end of my journey, I realize that none of these things can accompany me.

I still remember the day my daughter called me into the garden to see a tiny insect she had discovered. I told her, “Not now, I’m working.” To this day, I still feel the pain of that missed moment.

Lesson Three: Tear Down the Wall in Your Heart

When I was younger, I believed that showing compassion or apologizing was a sign of weakness.

I had a brother I grew up with. One day we disagreed over something small. I cannot even remember what caused the disagreement now.

I waited for him to make the first move toward reconciliation. Years passed. Then one day I received a call informing me that he had died.

That was when I realized that I had been right, but I had lost my brother.

If you love someone, tell them today. If you have made a mistake, apologize today. Tomorrow is never guaranteed.

Lesson Four: Fear Is Only a Shadow

I was 22 years old when I dreamed of becoming a writer. I had notebooks filled with dreams and stories.

But I never wrote that book because I was afraid of being mocked or failing.

Now my hands tremble and my eyesight has weakened. That book is still inside me.

The greatest tragedy in life is not death; it is the dreams we bury while we are still alive.

Do not keep postponing what your heart longs to do. Start today. Even if you fail, at least you will be able to say, “I tried.”

Conclusion

The ticking of my clock grows louder in my ears now. I have let go of worry, pride, and fear.

You are still alive. You still have another day.

Do not waste it.

Look at your hands. Move your fingers. Feel your breath.

All of this is a blessing.

Do not wait until you are 94 years old to realize how beautiful life is.

Live now.

Until we meet again.

Summary

Life is short. Live fully, cherish your loved ones, forgive quickly, pursue your dreams, and make every day count. ❤️🙏🏾.

"IF YOU DON'T STAY HUMBLE, GOD WILL HUMBLE YOU BY HIMSELF"
_James 4:6 – “God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.”_
_1 Peter 5:5 – “…for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.”_

INTRODUCTION – THE LAW OF GOD & PRIDE
Pride is the only sin that made an angel become a devil. _Isaiah 14:12-15_. Lucifer said “I will” 5 times and God brought him down.

Key Truth: There are 2 ways to come down in life: You either bow down willingly, or God will bring you down forcefully._ Proverbs 16:18 says _“Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”_

If you refuse to humble yourself, heaven will organize your humbling. And when God humbles a man, the whole world will hear it.

5 BIBLE EXAMPLES OF PEOPLE GOD HUMBLED BY HIMSELF 1.KING NEBUCHADNEZZAR – FROM PALACE TO BUSH
Daniel 4:28-37_
His Pride: He walked in his palace and said, _“Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?”_ Daniel 4:30
How God Humbled Him: While the words were still in his mouth, a voice from heaven said, _“The kingdom is departed from thee.”_ For 7 years he ate grass like an ox, his nails grew like birds’ claws, hair like eagles’ feathers. He lived with animals.
His Confession After: _“Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven… those that walk in pride he is able to abase.”_ Daniel 4:37
Lesson: _Your certificate, money, and position are not by your power. Deuteronomy 8:18. If you take God’s glory, He will take your crown._

2. KING HEROD – EATEN BY WORMS ON HIS THRONE
Bible:
_Acts 12:21-23
*His Pride:* He made a speech. People shouted, _“It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.”_ Herod did not give God the glory. He accepted worship.
How God Humbled Him: “And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.”_ Acts 12:23
Lesson: When men clap for you, point them to God immediately. If you steal God’s glory, you won’t live to enjoy men’s praise._

3. PHARAOH OF EGYPT – DROWNED WITH HIS ARMY
Bible:_Exodus 5:2, Exodus 14:26-28_
His Pride: Moses said _“Let my people go.”_ Pharaoh replied, _“Who is the Lord, that I should obey his voice? I know not the Lord, neither will I let Israel go.”_
How God Humbled Him: After 10 plagues, God drowned him and his 600 chariots in the Red Sea. _Exodus 15:4_
Lesson: Nobody dares God and ends well. Exodus 9:16 – God raised Pharaoh only to show His power. Pride makes you a public example._

4. UZZIAH – LEPROSY IN THE TEMPLE
Bible:_2 Chronicles 26:16-21_
His Pride: He was a good king who became strong. _“But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction.”_ He went into the temple to burn incense, a work for priests only.
How God Humbled Him: The priests withstood him. While he was angry, leprosy rose in his forehead right there in church. He was a l***r till the day he died and lived in a separate house.
Lesson: _Promotion without humility leads to demotion. When God lifts you, don’t touch what He didn’t give you. Stay in your lane._

5. HAMAN – HANGED ON HIS OWN GALLOWS
Bible:bEsther 3:1-6, Esther 7:10_
His Pride: King promoted him. All servants bowed to him except Mordecai. Haman was full of wrath. He built a 75-foot gallows to hang Mordecai.
How God Humbled Him: The same night the king couldn’t sleep. Haman ended up decorating Mordecai. The next day, _“So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai.”_ Esther 7:10
Lesson: Pride digs a grave for the proud man. Proverbs 26:27 – “Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein.” The trap you set for others will catch you.

3 WAYS GOD HUMBLES THE PROUD TODAY

1. BY TAKING AWAY WHAT MADE YOU PROUD Your beauty, job, money, voice, health can go in one day. 1 Samuel 2:7_
2. BY PUBLIC DISGRACE _God can allow your secret sin to be exposed online. Numbers 32:23_
3. BY DELAYING YOUR DESTINY Israel was humbled 40 years in the wilderness because of pride. Deuteronomy 8:2-3

HOW TO STAY HUMBLE SO GOD WON’T HUMBLE YOU

1. Return All Glory to God When they praise you, say “Na God o.” Psalm 115:1_
2. Remember Where You’re Coming From – _Deuteronomy 8:2. Don’t forget the pit God took you from._
3. Serve Others _Jesus washed feet. John 13:14. If God of heaven can kneel, who are you to be proud?_
4. Fast Regularly – _Psalm 35:13 – “I humbled my soul with fasting.” Fasting kills pride.
5. Stay Grateful 1 Thessalonians 5:18. A grateful man cannot be proud.

CLOSING CHARGE
_Beloved, God has 2 chairs in heaven: Mercy Seat and Judgment Seat. Humility will take you to Mercy Seat. Pride will take you to Judgment Seat._

_Choose today. 1 Peter 5:6 – “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.”_

_If you are proud, repent now before God organizes your humbling. It’s better to be small in your eyes and big in God’s eyes, than to be big in your eyes and small in God’s eyes._
