THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF KWALI AREA COUNCIL, HON. NUHU DANIEL KWALI, JOINED FELLOW AREA COUNCIL CHAIRMEN AS THE PRESIDENT OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA, HIS EXCELLENCY ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU, GCFR, OFFICIALLY FLAGGED OFF THE CONSTRUCTION AND EXPANSION OF THE WATER SUPPLY PROJECT FOR FCT SATELLITE TOWNS.

The historic flag-off ceremony marks another significant milestone in the Federal Government's commitment to expanding critical infrastructure and improving the living standards of residents across the Federal Capital Territory. The water supply project is designed to provide sustainable access to clean and safe drinking water for thousands of people living in the FCT satellite towns, thereby enhancing public health, sanitation, and economic development.

Hon. Nuhu Daniel Kwali joined other Area Council Chairmen, top government officials, traditional rulers, community leaders, and other distinguished guests to witness this landmark event, which demonstrates the Federal Government's determination to bridge the infrastructure gap and ensure that no community is left behind in the nation's development agenda.

Speaking through his presence at the event, Hon. Nuhu Daniel Kwali reaffirmed his administration's commitment to partnering with the Federal Government and relevant stakeholders to attract meaningful development projects to Kwali Area Council. He emphasized that access to clean water is a basic necessity and a key driver of healthier communities, improved livelihoods, and sustainable growth.

The Executive Chairman also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the development of the Federal Capital Territory through the Renewed Hope Agenda. He noted that investments in essential infrastructure such as water supply will create lasting benefits for residents, stimulate economic activities, and improve the overall quality of life.

As Kwali Area Council continues to pursue people-centered governance, Hon. Nuhu Daniel Kwali reiterated his resolve to support every initiative that promotes progress, expands access to basic amenities, and delivers the dividends of democracy to the people. He assured residents that his administration will continue to collaborate with the Federal Government to ensure that Kwali Area Council benefits from more impactful projects capable of transforming communities and fostering inclusive development.

PRESS STATEMENT...

HON. NUHU DANIEL KWALI HOLDS STRATEGIC MEETINGS WITH DIRECTORS, HEADS OF DEPARTMENTS, AND SECURITY CHIEFS TO STRENGTHEN GOVERNANCE IN KWALI AREA COUNCIL

The Executive Chairman of Kwali Area Council, Hon. Nuhu Daniel Kwali, alongside his Vice Chairperson, Hajiya Gimbia Rahma held a strategic meeting with the Council's Management and Staffs as part of his administration's commitment to improving efficiency, productivity, and service delivery across all departments.

The meeting provided an opportunity for each Director and Head of Department to present an appraisal of their respective departments, highlighting achievements, existing challenges, and practical measures required to enhance performance and ensure effective service delivery to the people of Kwali Area Council.

In his remarks, the Executive Chairman expressed profound appreciation to the entire civil service workforce for their unwavering support and cooperation since the inception of his administration. He commended their dedication and assured them that staff welfare remains a priority of his government.

Hon. Nuhu Daniel Kwali reaffirmed his administration's determination to increase the Council's internally generated revenue by creating an enabling environment that will attract investors, encourage the establishment of businesses and institutions, and stimulate sustainable economic growth within the Area Council.

He also charged all staff members to remain diligent, professional, and committed to their responsibilities while upholding the highest standards of transparency and accountability in the discharge of their duties.

Emphasizing prudent management of public resources, the Chairman stated;

"The Area Council's funds are not my money; they are our collective resources. If they are misused, there will be accountability, not only in this world but also before God."

The meeting ended on a positive note, with both the political leadership and the administrative workforce reaffirming their commitment to work together' not as competitors, but as co-labourers united by the common goal of improving staff welfare and delivering meaningful development to the people of Kwali Area Council.

Following the engagement with the Council's management team, the Executive Chairman also convened a meeting with the Council's Security Chiefs to deliberate on critical security matters affecting the Area Council.

During the meeting, Hon. Nuhu Daniel Kwali charged the security agencies to intensify their efforts in maintaining peace, protecting lives and property, and strengthening collaboration among all security stakeholders.

He stressed that a secure environment is indispensable for development and assured them of his administration's continued support in ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents of Kwali Area Council.
