OMBUGADU DUMPS APC, CITES CONCERNS OVER GUBER PLAY

Dr. David Emmanuel Ombugadu, aka Davematics, has shocked the All Progressives Congress (APC) by resigning from the party, just weeks after joining. The former PDP gubernatorial candidate in Nasarawa State cited concerns over alleged machinations to derail his 2027 gubernatorial bid.

A group had raised alarm over a supposed plot to rig the party's electronic membership registration process, allegedly to favor a preferred candidate to succeed Governor Abdullahi Sule. Ombugadu's resignation comes amid these allegations, with the former PDP chieftain hinting at foul play within the APC.

Ombugadu had defected to the APC following a bitter leadership dispute in the PDP. His exit adds to the growing list of high-profile defections in Nasarawa State politics.

Nasarawa State Communities Now Under A Safer And Cleaner Water Supply Under Geologist Haruna’s Led NARUWASSA GM

By Godwin Michael Zhemuzho-Lafia

Access to safe water and improved sanitation has become a defining measure of development in modern societies. In Nasarawa State, a new chapter is unfolding in the water and sanitation sector under the leadership of Geologist Haruna O. Ewa, the General Manager of the Nasarawa State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (NARUWASSA). Since assuming office in 2024, Ewa has demonstrated a results-driven leadership style that is rapidly transforming access to clean water across rural communities in the state.
From the moment he took charge of the agency,

Geologist Ewa brought renewed direction and urgency to the task of providing sustainable water solutions. With a clear vision anchored on efficiency, transparency, and community engagement, he has repositioned NARUWASSA to deliver impactful interventions across the thirteen local government areas of Nasarawa State. His leadership has ensured that water supply projects are not only initiated but effectively implemented to meet the daily needs of thousands of households.

One of the most remarkable strides recorded under his administration is the expansion of solar-powered borehole installations in underserved rural communities. Additionally, the Agency has also executed the installation of 20 Solar boholes in Doma, 20 in Keffi, among others laudable interventions programs in Lafia, Akwanga, Wamba and Koko local government. These environmentally friendly water systems have significantly reduced the burden of water scarcity, particularly in areas where residents previously depended on unsafe sources such as streams and seasonal ponds. By introducing solar technology into rural water infrastructure, Ewa has promoted both sustainability and reliability in water supply.

Beyond water provision, the agency under his guidance has intensified its Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) interventions. The ongoing Open Defecation Free (ODF) campaign has gained fresh momentum, with communities being mobilized and educated on the health benefits of proper sanitation practices. Through community-led sanitation initiatives, residents are now actively participating in maintaining hygienic environments, thereby reducing the spread of water-borne diseases.

Geologist Ewa’s background in geology has also played a crucial role in improving the technical efficiency of water projects. His understanding of underground water systems and environmental sustainability has enabled the agency to make informed decisions in drilling and water resource management. This professional expertise has minimized project failures while ensuring that boreholes and other water facilities are located in areas with reliable groundwater availability.

Another hallmark of his leadership is the emphasis on community ownership and participation. Rather than imposing projects on communities, NARUWASSA now encourages local residents to take responsibility for maintaining and protecting water facilities. This approach has strengthened sustainability, as communities are more committed to safeguarding the projects that directly benefit them.

The achievements recorded by NARUWASSA have also been made possible through the strong support of the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, whose administration has prioritized rural development and improved public services. With this support, Geologist Ewa and his team have been able to extend water and sanitation services to remote areas that had long been neglected.

Today, many communities across Nasarawa State are experiencing the benefits of safer water sources, improved sanitation practices, and enhanced public health awareness. Women and children who once walked long distances in search of water can now access clean and reliable supply within their communities. This transformation is gradually restoring dignity, improving health outcomes, and fostering sustainable development in rural areas.

As the momentum continues, Geologist Haruna O. Ewa remains steadfast in his mission to ensure that no community in Nasarawa State is left behind in the quest for clean water and proper sanitation. His leadership reflects a rare blend of professional competence, dedication, and visionary thinking. Indeed, his guiding belief — “failure is not an option when opportunities exist” — continues to inspire the progress being witnessed today.
With these ongoing reforms and achievements, the people of Nasarawa State can confidently look forward to a future where access to safe water and healthy sanitation practices becomes a permanent reality rather than a distant aspiration.

Bishop Jatau’s Routine Prophetic Insights: A Beacon to Nigeria’s Wellbeing and Stability

By Godwin Michael Zhemuzho-Lafia
Personal Assistant to Bishop Jatau On New Media

In a time when uncertainty often clouds the national atmosphere, the prophetic voice of Archbishop Prof. Emmanuel Musa Jatau continues to stand as a guiding light to many Nigerians. As the Presiding Bishop of Faithhill Prophetic Assembly Worldwide, Bishop Jatau has consistently demonstrated a deep spiritual sensitivity to unfolding events, offering timely insights that call for vigilance, prayer, and collective responsibility.

Just days ago, the revered cleric released a solemn prophetic warning concerning the period around the Eid al-Fitr (Sallah), highlighting potential security threats across major cities in Nigeria.

His message, rooted in spiritual discernment, urged citizens to remain cautious, avoid unnecessary exposure to risk, and seek divine protection through prayer. Remarkably, within a short span, reports of explosions in Maiduguri surfaced, sending shockwaves across the nation and reinforcing the urgency of his earlier counsel.
While such developments are deeply concerning, they also underscore the importance of proactive awareness and spiritual preparedness. Bishop Jatau’s prophetic ministry does not merely predict events; it serves as a call to action—encouraging both leaders and citizens to take responsibility for peace, security, and national unity. His messages consistently emphasize prayer as a tool for intervention and a means of fostering hope amid adversity.
Beyond the prophetic dimension, Archbishop Jatau’s contributions to nation-building are both tangible and inspiring. Through his philanthropic initiatives, he has extended support to the less privileged, providing relief materials, educational assistance, and spiritual guidance to communities in need. His compassion transcends religious and ethnic boundaries, positioning him as a unifying figure in a diverse nation like Nigeria.
His impact is particularly evident among vulnerable populations, where acts of generosity and empathy have brought renewed hope. From outreach programs to community development efforts, Bishop Jatau exemplifies a leadership style that blends spiritual authority with humanitarian service. This dual approach strengthens societal resilience and fosters a culture of care and mutual support.

Moreover, his consistent call for peace and moral responsibility resonates strongly in today’s socio-political climate. At a time when tensions can easily escalate, voices like his remind the nation of the enduring values of faith, unity, and compassion. His prophetic insights, therefore, are not instruments of fear, but channels of awareness—designed to inspire caution, prayerfulness, and constructive action.

As Nigeria navigates complex security and social challenges, the role of spiritual leaders like Archbishop Jatau becomes increasingly significant. His dedication to both spiritual awakening and societal wellbeing positions him as a beacon of hope, guiding many through uncertain times. Indeed, his routine prophetic insights continue to serve not only as warnings but as vital contributions to the pursuit of national stability and collective peace.

May Nigeria continue to find strength in unity, wisdom in leadership, and protection through both vigilance and faith.
