“It’s No Longer About You, It’s About Sowore Now - I Want To Prove He Can’t Do Anything” - VeryDarkMan Tells Blord
Nigerian social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), appeared in court today, Monday, April 27, 2026, over the ongoing legal dispute involving him and businessman Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly called Blord.
During proceedings at the Federal High Court in Abuja, VeryDarkMan reportedly addressed Blord directly, indicating that the situation had taken a new turn. According to him, the matter had moved beyond Blord, stating: “This is no longer about you, Blord. It has become a matter of pride. It’s now about Sowore. I want to prove that he cannot do anything.”
This latest twist follows the earlier involvement of activist Omoyele Sowore, who stepped into the situation and pledged to use his influence and connections to facilitate Blord’s release after he was remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre over allegations of impersonation and unauthorized use of VeryDarkMan’s identity.
It would be recalled that Blord was formally charged with offenses including criminal conspiracy, impersonation, and related allegations tied to a social media feud with VeryDarkMan. The case quickly attracted widespread public attention after Sowore openly backed Blord and criticized what he described as the weaponization of legal processes.
At this stage, the case appears to have shifted direction. VeryDarkMan has made it clear that he intends to pursue the matter to its conclusion, framing it as a question of principle—aimed at demonstrating that external influence cannot override due process or nullify charges brought forward by an individual.
Court proceedings continue to generate strong interest among Nigerians both within the country and abroad, with many closely monitoring developments across social media platforms. The case has remained highly charged, with previous hearings marked by visible tension among supporters of the parties involved. More updates are expected as the legal process unfolds.
