MOHBAD'S BROTHER, ADURA SPEAKS TO OBJECT TV:
We had a show in Ikorodu on September 10, 2023. After MOH (Mohbad) finished performing, we decided to wait for Zlatan so we could all leave together. While we were waiting, some area boys approached and started demanding money from MOH. I was in the second Prado, while MOH, Wunmi, Primeboy, Spending, and two others were in the first Prado.
At some point, Primeboy came over to speak with me, but it was clear he was high. I told him to leave me alone, which upset him. He then went to report to MOH. Meanwhile, Darosha wanted to withdraw some money for the area boys, and I followed him.
When we returned, we found out that Primeboy and MOH had gotten into a fight. I asked MOH what happened, and he said Primeboy had punĀ¢hed him. But Wunmi told me that Primeboy wasnāt entirely at fault, which confused me. Still, I confronted Primeboy, asking why he would injure MOH. I was later told that MOH had tried to punĀ¢h Primeboy first, and in the scuffle, the Prado glass got br0ken.
After the show, we went back home. MOHās hand was still blĀ£Ā£ding a bit, but the blĀ£Ā£ding had reduced. He stayed with us downstairs as we talked about everything that happened. Eventually, we all went to bed.
The next morning, MOH started complaining about his hand and said he needed a nurse. He had a personal nurse, but when we called her, she said she wasnāt available. Then Spending suggested his own nurse, but she said she wouldnāt be free until Tuesday.
On Tuesday, while Wunmi and I were downstairs preparing food for Liamās 5-month birthday, the nurse finally arrived in the afternoon. MOH was upstairs in Wunmiās room, so we moved him to his own room for treatment. There was water on the floor from the rain, so I quickly mopped it before going back downstairs.
About 10 to 15 minutes later, someone called my name from upstairs. When I got there, I found Mohbad on the floor, struggling to speak.
I asked the nurse what had happened, and she said she had given MOH (Mohbad) an injĀ£ction. At that point, he could no longer speak, but he pointed toward a bottle of water, so I used it to wash his face. Then he pointed at the AC. We immediately moved him back to the room we had originally taken him from so he could get some air.
His mechanic was outside working on his car, so I started searching for a vehicle to take him to the hospital. By the time I got back inside, I saw that they were already carrying him out. Fortunately, they had found a car to transport us.
On the way, we encountered heavy traffic, so we had to move him to a bike. He was gasping for breath at that point.
When we arrived at the hospital, the doctor quickly attended to him. After about 15 minutes, the doctor came out and said Mohbad had pas$ed away. We were in shock. We decided to take him to another hospital, but they didnāt even let us bring him inside. They checked and confirmed him dĀ£ad on arrival right at the entrance. They were the ones who wrote Brought In Dead.
I was devastated. Everyone around started crying. By then, the mechanic had finished working on his car and brought it to the hospital, so we placed his body back inside and drove home.
At home, we laid him in the living room. Then Darosha mentioned that when his own father diĀ£d, salt was placed on his chest to help preserve the body. We decided to do the same for MOH while waiting for his father to arrive. His mum had already gotten there by then.
When his father arrived and saw the salt on MOHās chest, he claimed we had embalmed him. Then he said we must bury him that same night. We were all shoĀ¢ked and protested, asking whyābut he insisted.
That night, we took Mohbadās body to Ikorodu and buried him the following day.
