Sheba and Goddessa talking about her Baby Daddy.šš½
Sheba: Anytime I look at Temi Nkem, this is a 21 year old girl. This is the me I trusted to marry? Where I came from, even with your profession, you have to do small small till you get married. There was one time I was learning how to drive, and my uncle saw me and was like, āWhose car is that?ā Then I explained, and he was like, āWhat kind of habĆ®t is this? Why am I learning to drive a car? What if the man I marry does not have a car?
Goddessa: What?
Sheba: So, as a woman, there are things you should not be acquiring. You should not live alone as a single lady; it almost reduces your dĆ®gnĆ®ty. Why are you living alone when you are unmarried? Yeah, thatās the mentality.
Sheba: I donāt know if itās the same now because I donāt live in Jos anymore, but yeah why are you living alone as an unmarried woman? Why are you buying a car as an unmarried woman? Donāt you know you are going to chase men away?
Sheba: So, itās like a w0man is pr0grammed not to look for too much. Let the man be the one to make you or give you, or else you will chase him away.
Godessa: This is crâźyy. Does your baby have a relationship with him?
Sheba: Iām trying to do that.
Godessa: He didnāt even come looking for him?
Sheba: After everything, everybody went their way. In 2020, I asked for sole custody, and he just wrote that they should give me everything I asked for. And the thing pa!ned me. Iām like, "This boy is not even worth a f!għt? You donāt even want him?ā But yeah, then there was no contact from him up until last year, 2024 December.
Godessa: Four years after?
Sheba: Yeah.
Godessa: When the baby was seven?
Sheba: Ask me how long after that time. I was like, āI have to seek legal and spiritual counselling. Even when I let him come, I put certain rules in place and had aduIt supervision because he appears for one month and disappears for three months.
Sheba: And Iām like, you know what? This is my childās father. Even if he is an aÅs^!n or a c0n^v!cÅ„, he is my childās father, and we donāt choose our parents. But for now, you just have to let the child be. You just have to be there to protect and shield based on what you know.
Sheba: But I cannot infIuence my son in any way and be like, āThis man, thatās sÅ„up!d.
Godessa: How does your boyfriend
Sheba: Amazing, boo. Up till now, I have not introduced him.
Goddessa: But he knows that?
Sheba: Oh no. He knows that I am very particular about introducing my son to a man. I donāt want him, in general, to start having aĆ@^nd0nment lsÅues because if he gets attached and the person just goes away, you, as a parent, may not know what this may do to the child.
Sheba: Because I know, even as a kid, there are certain memories and feelings I still have. I cannot explain a lot, but they are still in my memory. I try to keep a certain level of m0raIity because I am raising a son without the son looking at me like; Please, abeg, I cannot be the one "today this man, tomorrow that man" kind of thing.
