Charly Boy reacts to Renaming of Charly Boy Bus Stop

We knew he would respond 😃😋

"Dem say dey don chang the name of Charly Boy Bus Stop.
Hmmm. Very interesting.
But let me remind you of something simple:

You can rename a place… but you can’t rename a legacy.
You can replace the signboard… but you can’t erase the spirit.
And you definitely can’t silence a voice that shook your tables for decades!

This is not just about a bus stop.
This is about fear.
Fear of a boy who refused to bow.
Fear of a man who challenged the oppressors.
Fear of a man who didn’t beg the system to be accepted.

So what do timid people do?
They change the name like e go wash away their shame.

Bariga, Gbagada, the entire Lagos knows the truth.
That name Charly Boy Bus Stop was not given by politicians.
It was named by the people the same people Fada fought for, walked with, and empowered.

They may change the signboard.
They may pretend not to remember.
But let me remind them, Area Fada, no dey Finish.

He didn’t need to sing sweet songs to be accepted.
He didn’t need to wear agbada to beg for titles.

You may change the name…

Why Are Igbo Names Being Erased? 💔

The Lagos State Government has renamed several Igbo-themed streets in the Bariga and Ajeromi areas — and no one has explained why.

Streets like Iwu Lane, Charly Boy Bus Stop, Ifeanyi, Anosike, Mba, Imo-Eze, Emordi, Ebubedike, Eze, and Ben Onyeka Street are now gone.

So we ask:

Why remove streets with Igbo names — names that were officially approved through Lagos State laws?
What’s the reason behind this decision?
What message is being sent to the Igbo people in Nigeria ?

In a country that preaches unity in diversity, this feels like a silent rejection.
And sometimes, silence speaks louder than words.

When he talking about the chances of the Coalition winning the presidential election against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 elections, Shehu Sani explained that the current political reality shows Peter Obi as the key figure with organic grassroots support within the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

However, he argued that Obi would not be able to defeat Atiku Abubakar in a presidential primary because primaries are decided by delegates—not the general public—and Obi lacks the necessary political reach and influence among them.

He added that if Obi fails to secure the party’s presidential ticket, the enthusiasm and energy of his core supporters may not match what was seen in the 2023 election. According to Sani, this scenario would give President Tinubu a clear political advantage heading into the next election.

He said, "These are the political equations on the ground: the man with the organic following in the ADC is Peter Obi, but he cannot defeat Atiku in a primary election.

"Those who vote in primary elections are not common people; they are delegates, and Obi doesn’t have the reach or strength to win primaries against Atiku. If Obi doesn’t emerge as the presidential candidate, his fanatical followers will not be as impressed as they were in 2023. That is one advantage for Tinubu."
